Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related fields, with 3+ years of Java development experience; proficient in Java with an in-depth understanding of JVM internals

·       Familiar with common frameworks (Spring, Spring MVC, gRPC, MyBatis) and able to understand their underlying principles and mechanisms

·       Solid computer science fundamentals, including operating systems, network architecture, algorithms, data structures, and common design patterns

·       Familiar with distributed systems, caching, and messaging mechanisms; experience with Redis, Kafka, Spark, Flink, Zookeeper, or TiDB is preferred

·       Experience with data platforms or microservices design and development, with an understanding of high availability and scalability, is a plus

·       Experience with tagging systems or recommendation algorithm systems is a plus

We are seeking a Data & AI Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across our product distribution business. This role will focus on sales analytics, inventory optimization, customer insights, and AI-driven forecasting to improve operational efficiency and commercial performance.

You will work closely with sales, operations, procurement, and management to turn data into actionable insights and implement simple AI-driven solutions suitable for an SME environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, clean, and analyze data from: Sales systems (POS, distributor orders) Inventory / warehouse systems, Customer and retailer databases
• Build dashboards and reports (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Google Data Studio)
• Track key metrics

2. Inventory & Demand Planning

• Analyze sales trends to forecast demand by SKU and location
• Optimize stock levels to reduce: Overstock / expiry issues (critical for pet food) Stockouts for high-demand products
• Support purchase planning and replenishment cycles

3. AI & Automation Initiatives

• Apply simple AI / machine learning models for: Demand forecasting Customer segmentation Product recommendation trends
• Automate repetitive reporting processes

4. Commercial & Customer Insights

5. Distribution & Operations Analytics

Overview of Desk Quant Analyst Position:

• Maintain and upgrade the codebase and configuration of strategies within the firm’s automated trading framework.
• Manage large datasets used in both research and production environments.
• Perform live as well as historical monitoring of trading activities. For instance, do some post-trade analysis or production reconciliation.
• Work in close collaboration with quant researchers and traders to understand the constantly evolving needs of the trading desks.

Typical Day of Desk Quant Analyst:

• Before market open, check that all required data and related processes are ready for the trading day.
• During market hours, sporadically monitor behavior and performance of strategies.
• Work on various longer-term projects required for expanding our systematic trading activities and ensuring their robustness.

Skill Set Required For Position:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical subject.
• Programming proficiency with at least one major programming or scripting language (e.g. C++, Java, Python).
• Great attention to details.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with colleagues across multiple regions.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
