Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to actively manage and perform the Bank’s own payment and receivable operations, including hands-on processing and serving as a checker to review and approve transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the operation.

Key duties include preparing payment vouchers, reviewing and approving accounting entries, managing SWIFT messages (incoming and outgoing), processing GIRO local payments and rental payments, and handling invoices. The position also involves daily monitoring and approval of Direct Debit Authorization (DDA)transactions, managing Goods and Services Tax (GST) and withholding tax submissions, reviewing expense reports, maintaining special accounts, and supporting expense administration queries. 

Additionally, the role is accountable for preparing financial schedules and reports for auditors, Singapore branch and the Head Office, participating in change management and continuous improvement initiatives, and assisting with operational risk reporting. . 

Success in this role requires strong expertise in accounting and banking operations, a collaborative team mindset, high integrity, reliability, and excellent communication skills.

Payment and Receivable Operations

• Check and review payment vouchers (Instruction Sheets) as needed for general operations.
• Review and approve all accounting entries as a checker and approver.
• Check and approve SWIFT messages in the Bank’s system.
• Export GIRO files in the inhouse payment system and process rental payments via the Bank’s inhouse system - Melo-D (Merits).
• Approve transactions in the Bank’s G/L system (GBase).
• Prepare or review invoices for trainees and staff on secondment to other Mizuho Branches. 

Expense and Accounting Administration Duties

• Monitor DDA (Direct Debit Authorization) transactions daily.
• Approve new DDA transactions in the Bank’s platform - Smile Web (G3 Inward-Auto Book).
• Check GST Reverse Charge and submit withholding tax (IR37) through the IRAS portal.
• Review expense reports from BPS and Gbase.
• Approve new staff and vendor account details in BPS.
• Create new accounts and cost centres in BPS and GBase.
• Maintain and monitor special accounts, such as suspense payments/receipts, CIP, security deposits, prepayments, and accrual transactions.
• Assist with and respond to queries related to expense administration.
• Prepare schedules for auditors and answer their queries.
• Support IOP (Internal Operating Procedures) revisions.

Expense Reporting

• Review daily reports.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports for Finance Control and Reporting (FCR) and Head Office.

Change Management & Projects, Continuous Improvement & Controls

• Participate in the Bank’s change management initiatives and projects involving CPC expense operations (including UAT, testing, meetings, etc.).
• Continuously enhance team processes and controls.
• Report and help resolve operational risk issues, errors, and control gaps

Job Requirements

• Originate and recommend investment strategies for global Bonds
• Actively manage a Bond Fund run by the Firm by formulating a dynamic strategy that is aligned to the outlook for Credit Markets as formulated by the Fixed Income specialist
• Conduct detailed research and analysis in selecting Bonds to populate the Fund strategy and Client allocations to Fixed Income
• To understand clients' risk profile, investment needs and construct and execute investment solutions
• Regularly review and recommend any necessary rebalancing of portfolios to Advisors and Clients
• Present all investment solutions in a high standard, professional manner
• Share knowledge and best practices with the Advisors
• Support Financial Advisors in providing ongoing investment advice to clients
• Ongoing client relationships for the Company based on past experience of dealing with High Net Worth Clients
• Support the business development efforts of the Advisors by actively engaging prospects
• Develop risk controls, overall trading position limits, stop losses and hedging strategies – for the Fund and individual Client portfolios where applicable. Drive timely and disciplined order execution for the Funds’ position
• Actively work with the other Investment Counsellors in advocating the overall mutli-asset, holistic macro and portfolio views of the Team
• Maintain a high standard of ethics and conduct and ensure confidentiality of clients’ assets & information.
• Ensure strict adherence to the Company’s policies, rules & regulations.

Requirements:

• Degree in Banking/Business/Economics/Engineering/Finance/Maths
• Certifications required from CMFAS Modules 1A, 5, 6A and 8A
• At least 7 to 10 years’ experience in an Investment Advisory / Fixed Income product specialist Role
• Experience of working in Wealth Management at a Bank and/or with an Independent / External Asset Manager and/or a Fund Manager will be preferred.
• Demonstrable track record of driving sound investment strategies and related selection and tracking of Bonds through sound fundamental and technical analysis of the issuers
• Experience in managing a Fund or supporting the management of the same, while not necessary, is preferred
• Conversant in other asset classes with ability to contribute to and follow the ideation and recommendations of other Investment Counsellors. Should be able to hold conversations with Clients from a holistic and diversified perspective
• An existing network of potential Clients that the candidate could look to engage on behalf of the Firm will be deemed an added advantage

Investment Operations Manager (Analyst-Focused Role)

Overview

Our client is a Single Family Office established in 2019, managing a diversified multi-asset portfolio. Due to business expansion and long-term strategic growth plans, they are hiring an investment professional to support the Principal in managing and growing the portfolio.

While the title is “Manager,” this is fundamentally an analyst-driven role. The successful candidate must have a strong research background and the ability to independently analyse deals and investments, formulate investment views, and provide clear buy/sell/hold recommendations across both bankable securities and private equity opportunities.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a hands-on individual to be deeply involved in portfolio construction and asset allocation, deal evaluation, transaction execution, portfolio monitoring, and fund operations within a lean and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Investment Research & Deal Analysis (Core Focus)

• Conduct in-depth research and fundamental analysis across asset classes, including public equities, fixed income, funds, and private equity.
• Evaluate private equity opportunities through detailed financial modelling, valuation analysis (DCF, trading/transaction multiples, sum-of-the-parts), and return projections (IRR, MOIC, sensitivity analysis).
• Develop investment theses and provide well-supported buy/sell/hold recommendations for both bankable securities and private market investments.
• Perform industry, macroeconomic, and thematic research to support portfolio positioning.
• Analyse financial statements and assess business quality, risk factors, and capital structures.
• Prepare investment memoranda, recommendation papers, and presentation materials for Investment Committee discussions.
• Support due diligence processes, including financial, commercial, and operational review.
• Participate in company meetings, earnings calls, conferences, and discussions with external managers to gather insights.

2. Portfolio Monitoring & Performance Review

• Monitor performance of bankable assets against benchmarks and risk parameters; conduct attribution and scenario analysis.
• Track private equity portfolio companies against underwriting assumptions and investment cases.
• Review and analyse monthly/quarterly reports from fund managers and portfolio companies, highlighting key risks, variances, and developments.
• Support monthly valuation reviews and consolidated performance reporting.
• Conduct post-investment reviews and performance attribution analysis.

3. Fund Documentation & Investment Operations

• Handling fund documentation and operational matters will form part of the role, including:
• Review and process fund subscription documentation, capital call notices, distribution notices, and (where applicable) transfer documentation.
• Read and analyse monthly/quarterly reports generated by fund managers or fund administrators, summarising key financial and operational updates.
• Support transaction processing (subscriptions, capital calls, redemptions, transfers, trade settlements).
• Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and other third-party service providers.
• Maintain proper investment records, data rooms, and documentation tracking.
• Support compliance, KYC/AML documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Assist in Investment Committee meeting coordination, documentation, and follow-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment research, asset management, private equity, or fund operations (buy-side experience preferred).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to independently assess investments and provide clear recommendations.
• Solid financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Good understanding of private equity deal structures, fund mechanics, and capital flows.
• Experience reviewing fund documents and interpreting fund manager reports.
• Comfortable working in a lean structure where research and operations responsibilities overlap.
• Proactive, intellectually curious, and commercially minded.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions); familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ or similar platforms preferred. Python/R is a plus.

We are looking for a quality support person to join the Finance & Admin department to assist in the corporate accounting and administration for the Company. This person will report directly to Head of Finance & Admin.

Job Description

1. Data entry of Purchasing Invoices, Receipts, Payments and Journal Entries in Dynamics 365 Business Central system
2. Raise payment vouchers and journal vouchers for various disbursements for approval
3. Handle travelling claims and billing issues
4. Handle closing of accounts and prepare full set of accounts within tight deadline
5. Monthly monitoring of cashflows
6. Perform bank reconciliation of all bank accounts for the companies
7. Maintain Fixed Asset Register and ensure that the sub-ledger tie to the general ledger
8. Raise debit/credit note to related parties for payments on their behalf
9. Prepare and submit Quarterly GST, WHT
10. Review proper transaction journals for closing of other entities within the group
11. Assist and prepare relevant supporting for internal and external auditor
12. Prepare annual budget report in Dynamics 365 Business Central system
13. Liaise with external parties such as vendors, landlord, banks, auditor and relevant statutory/ regulatory authorities
14. Handle compliance matters with MAS such as quarterly filing, assist in representative license application, response to MAS Queries and Surveys
15. Assist in ad-hoc admin tasks
16. Provide support in any other matters that the Management and the department/division head requires including adhoc projects etc
