Job Description: Design Engineer (Ex-Proof Order Engineering)

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-driven Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Component Order engineering team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-precision production drawings and 3D models for our customised solutions involving Explosion-proof (Ex-proof) Rope Hoists, Chain Hoists, and crane components.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of Hoisting solutions and a "first-time-right" approach to design. Since these products operate in hazardous environments, your work will be critical to ensuring both operational efficiency and human safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & CAD Modelling: Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D production drawings for customised wire rope hoists, chain hoists, and crane components using Siemens NX.
• Technical Documentation: Generate comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and technical specifications for manufacturing in the production drawings.
• Data Management: Maintain design integrity, revisions, and workflows within the Teamcenter PLM environment.
• Work Management : Utilize SAP for daily Work Management and project tracking. Execute assigned tasks according to the Task Allocation schedule within the SAP
• Ex-proof Integration: Incorporate explosion-proof design principles (flameproof enclosures, non-sparking materials) into modularised hoist architectures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Order Management and Product Platform teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure designs are optimized for fabrication.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards

Position Overview

This position requires excellent understanding of wire rope hoists and its components. The hired Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical and structural design/engineering aspects of customized design solutions involving wire rope hoists; check technical specifications from order documents and make detailed order engineering drawings. Must be familiar with industry specifications including crane standards FEM & EN. Experience with welding and machining is required. Must be proficient with  CAD tools and Microsoft Office. Excellent Verbal and written communication plays a key role in this position. This position requires the direct interface between offer engineers, project management and production facility.

Major Responsibilities

• Interpret order documentation including order confirmation to determine scope of work
• Make production drawings for standard duty crane components as per the order received and within the specified time duration.
• Must be proficient in reading mechanical equipment and structural drawings.
• Perform engineering tasks using established procedures. Create equipment layouts, undertake all necessary mechanical and structural calculations to confirm designs and generate final mechanical and structural designs.
• Assure quality assurance in drawing & design process by monitoring the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and implementing the corrective actions.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards

•            Snowflake Cloud Expertise: Demonstrating expertise in Snowflake Cloud data warehousing platform. Utilizing Snowflake's features and capabilities to optimize ETL performance and data processing.

•            ETL Development: Developing, testing, and maintaining ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data transformations using ETL tools like DBT, Qlik compose etc.

•            Performance Optimization: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in ETL processes to ensure data processing efficiency and reduce load times.

•            Data Quality and Validation: Implementing data quality checks, validation, and error handling within ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

•            Documentation and Best Practices: Creating detailed technical documentation, including data mappings, ETL specifications, and system architecture. Promoting and adhering to ETL best practices and standards.

•            Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.

•            Troubleshooting and Support: Investigating and resolving ETL-related issues, providing technical support, and participating in on-call rotations if required.

THE POSITION: The IT Security Engineer is responsible for the operation of information protection technologies and the execution of information security policy and procedures. Position encompasses the participation in the EVERSANA security operations team and the testing and enforcement of appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and Key Performance Indicators. The IT Security Engineer will work closely with other IT peers and stakeholders in other departments to support the security of the environment as well as management and deployment of new cost/time-effective security solutions for all aspects of EVERSANA.
