Working hours: Monday to Friday, 0830 hours - 1730 hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Purpose

Provide safe and timely transportation of people, documents and office equipment to the assigned destination. Support Maintenance Officer in the smooth running of assets in Singapore Red Cross by providing excellent and regular maintenance works.

Driving Duties

• Support transportation needs of the Society such as:
• Support all transport and logistic needs of the society.
• Ad-hoc despatch of meeting files, letters for signature and other documents.
• Conduct daily checks on the vehicles and ensure that the vehicle is clean, tidy and in optimum operational function before use.
• Report immediately to Supervisor of any faults or problems with the vehicle.
• Sends vehicle for servicing, repairs, LTA inspection & renew road tax.

Logistic Duties

• Provide timely assistance and efficient support in facilities maintenance for all SRC premises, i.e. the Red Cross House, Home for the Disabled, Atrium@Orchard, Red Cross Campsite and Day Activity Centre for the Disabled.
• Perform general works, including but not limited to setting up, moving, disposing and repairing of furniture and fittings, changing of bulbs, simple plumbing and electrical maintenance support assistance.
• Provide logistics support in the set-up of furniture and fittings for SRC events/activities.

Administration

• Conduct routine checks on the ERP cards amount and top up the cards if required.
• Reports to supervisor on any faults or damages of vehicles.
• Ensure proper recording of its logbook including the vehicle usage, its mileage, and documents to be delivered/received.

Any Other Duties

• Assist to provide general facilities maintenance/logistics requests.
• Assist in basic banking duties when Dispatch Officer is on leave.

Job Specifications

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess Primary / Secondary education, or its equivalent
• Possess valid class 3 driving licence with good driving record
• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience

• Good driving skills and traffic manners
• Good knowledge of road directions and locations
• Decent command of both spoken and written English
• Multilingual, with the ability to converse in local dialects would be an advantage
