Primary Responsibilities

- Inspect, test and sample materials or assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specifications

- Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments

- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions

- Discard or reject products, materials and equipment not meeting specifications

- Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.

Responsibilities:

• Write and execute test cases (manual or automated)
• Identify defects and analyse results
• Ensure all quality issues are properly documented, tracked and resolved in a timely manner
• Build and improve test automation and scripts for various application testing, in accordance to test strategy
• Build, review and improve existing QC reporting system

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Software Engineering, IT or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in software quality assurance, with a strong command of automated and manual testing
• Excellent documentation skills in drafting clear and concise test scenarios, test cases, along with in-depth knowledge of QA methodology
• Experience in either Java, JavaScript, Typescript programming languages
• Proactive, self-directed and able to work independently

What is this position about?

Within the Asia Pacific CIB IT & Operations organization, the Regional OPC (Operational Permanent Control) team for Global Banking Operations is under the management of the Head of Conduct & Controls and works in close relationship with the Operations teams. 

His/her main responsibilities is to implement the operational risk management framework and monitor the operational risk related to Global Banking Operations across all 12 Territories in APAC. Hence, he/she will analyse control results (Ops, OPC, LoD2, LoD3) and incidents to identify main operational risks and follow the associated mitigation/remediation actions (including recommendations).

What would your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?

As part of the day to day work, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and optimising business processes to minimize operational risk and drive continuous improvement. This would include working cross-functionally with internal teams (Trade, Cash, Supply Chain & Credit Operations) to align processes and business objectives. Through your various tasks that you will perform you will be playing a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, risk management and process control within APAC Global Banking Operations (GBO) OPC team.

Primary Role Responsibilities

The Permanent Control Coordinator ensures the following missions under the supervision of the Regional Head of Operations & Permanent Control (OPC) for Global Banking and in close relationship with Operations teams.

Implementation of Operational Risk Management

• Coordinate and perform the Risk and Control Self-Assessment with Operations Managers and Senior Management
• Define and execute the control testing, present the controls result to Senior Management and ensure the implementation of remediation actions
• Provide support with the harmonization of the execution of C5 controls across all 12 Territories in APAC
• Support the Operation teams in the implementation and deployment of C1-C4 controls
• Follow up and review findings and recommendations issued by internal auditors, regulators, and external auditors • Ensure operational risk incidents are properly collected, coordinate the root cause analysis and contribute to the definition of remedial actions
• Perform Deep Dive analysis/ thematic review on specific processes based on identified risk areas
• Monitor regulations and internal policy changes to ensure implementation by Operations Team.

Operational Risk Governance

• Organize and contribute to Team meetings and APAC CBO PCC to ensure proper escalation of operational risk issues.
• Coordinate and prepare the contribution to various committees (e.g.: APAC Operational Risk Management Framework, APAC Internal Control Committees, APAC CCCO, TBA ITO Committee)
• Support Territory OPCs in performing the respective mandates and consolidate the results for management reporting.
• Assist the team manager in transversal tasks like deep dives, trainings, dashboards productions and be proactive in suggesting improvements in the team’s daily work

What is required for you to succeed?

Essential Technical Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of project management main principles
• Knowledge of MsOffice suite with good practical knowledge of MsExcel pivot tables and lookups
• Experience developing in python or using data analytical tools will be a plus
• Knowledge of crisis management and continuity will be a plus

Qualifications and Experience:

• Professional experience during an internship working on Operations or Client for a Financial Institution Other

Compliance Discovery and Analysis

• Partner with the Group Compliance to identify and interpret new and existing technology-related regulatory requirements (e.g. Payment Service Act, PDPA, Resource Sustainability Act) and their impact on the organisation.
• Collaborate with Technology Leads to assess the applicability of these requirements to specific systems, applications, and processes.
• Conduct compliance gap assessments to discover areas where technology controls may not align with mandatory obligations.

Compliance Tracking and Remediation

• Establish and manage a central repository for tracking identified compliance gaps, their owners, and remediation timelines.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Technology teams and Group Compliance, facilitating discussions to ensure remediation plans are practical and effective.

• Coordinate key technology compliance programs and external assessments, such as PCI DSS and the Cyber Trust Mark (CTM).

Qualifications & Experience

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience focused on Technology Compliance or Technology Audit.
• Proven, hands-on experience in identifying, tracking, and reporting on technology compliance gaps in a regulated environment.
• Strong working knowledge of key technology regulations and standards (e.g. MAS TRM, PDPA, PCI DSS).
• Demonstrated experience translating complex regulatory language into actionable requirements for technology teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to partner effectively with senior leaders in both Technology and Group Compliance functions.
• Experience in developing metrics and dashboards to report on compliance status to senior management.
• A pragmatic and collaborative mindset, with a track record of driving compliance initiatives to completion.
• Professional certifications such as CISA or CGEIT are highly advantageous.
