Regional Expertise

The RSM is expected to develop and maintain a living, current understanding of the security environment across Asia and Oceania (excluding the Middle East). It requires continuous engagement with regional context, proactive monitoring of emerging threats, and anticipatory planning for areas where WCK is likely to deploy — even before a crisis materializes.

• Build and maintain relationships with NGO security counterparts, and local civil society organizations operating in the same geography,  enabling timely, high-quality information sharing when a response is activated.

The Security Corps model is central to how WCK scales security capacity responsibly. The RSM builds relationships and capability within the communities WCK serves and develops local security professionals that bring language fluency, cultural knowledge, and established networks that aid WCK’s mission..

• Identify and vet local security professionals across anticipated response geographies who meet WCK's standards for experience, judgment, and mission alignment.
• Develop and deliver in-region training to build Security Corps capacity, ensuring members are prepared to operate within WCK's protocols and values.
• Manage Security Corps deployment on active responses, including onboarding, briefing, and performance oversight.

Active-Response Leadership

1. Responsible for security technology solutions by working closely with BusinessDevelopment team to roll out cost effective and efficient security solutions.

3.Sales responsibilities to attract customers; Attend site show rounds to gainunderstanding of the premise security services requirements.   

4.Ability to propose technology solutions like IoT, virtual patrolling, SmartCCTV,  advance access control solutionsusing facial recognition, visitors management system,  vehicle management system, etc.    

5.Prepare tender submission on security technology requirements and fulfilment.

6.Participate in tender interviews to showcase technology solutions.

7. Conduct Security Risk Surveys & submit reports to clients. Adviseclients on security/safety aspects in the clients’ premise and suggesttechnology to mitigate any security risk.

8.Constantly work with clients to look into possibility of reducing manpower byintroducing technology solutions.

9.Submit application for technology grants where applicable.

As Security Manager, you will lead and spearhead all these initiatives below as mentioned. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done.  Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas' team members always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

• Ensure the effective implementation of all operational security procedures within the hotel.
• Management and security oversight of all contractors, suppliers or vendors working on property.
• To maintain a close dialogue and relationship with local security authorities.
• Ensure that security officers provide a courteous and professional service to all customers, staff, vendors and suppliers.
• To vet the daily functions and VIP arrival list and to ensure that security officers are deployed as appropriate
• To account for the master keys of the property and their movements as well as key control in general.
• To keep the hotel senior management informed on all matters relating to the Security aspects of the hotel on a daily basis.
• Review and suggest adjustment to process based on current/future environments.

Incident/Emergency Handling

• Incidents and Emergencies are emotionally charged situation, particularly when there are allegations of theft.  All guests, staff or other people involved must be dealt with sensitively and professionally so as not to inflame the situation.
• To professionally conduct full inquiries and follow-up activities for all security related incidents.
• As required, to carry out formal searches on employees, locker rooms and place of work as directed by hotel management, with the presence of Human Resources Executive as a witness.  All people interviewed or searched are to be presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
• To organize the Security Fire Fighting Team in the event of an emergency.

Safety Function

•  Lead to uphold safety laws and regulations in Malaysia, create a safe work environment, and prevent job-related incidents at the hotel/resort. This includes conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and executing preventive measures.
• Train and inspire team members to follow our company's occupational health and safety protocols. Be responsible for investigating work-related incidents and injuries, providing comprehensive reports, and suggesting preventative actions.
• Additional duties involve gathering safety statistics, preparing reports, and carrying out other safety tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Security System Engineering and Security Operations teams to ensure security system and device health for operational state CO+I facilities.
• Travel up to 25% of the time conducting field site visits across the assigned portfolio of datacenters on a recurring basis to assess security system and device health, meet with stakeholders and suppliers, and implement plans to remediate findings of non-conformance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

• 4+ years experience in Security Program or Program Management or related field.

Background Check Requirements:
