Purpose of the Role:

The Naval Architect will lead the conceptualisation, design, and development of innovative fully electric vessels, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. 1. Design & Development:

• Lead or support the end-to-end design of fully electric vessels from hull form optimisation to detailed structural and outfitting plans.

• Conduct risk assessments for structural integrity and operational safety throughout a vessel’s lifespan.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as well.

• Minimum 2 to 6 years’ experience in vessel design, preferably with exposure to electric propulsion or sustainable maritime technologies.

• Experienced working within shipyards, design consultancies, or marine engineering firms is highly advantageous.

You will act as a key technical authority, working closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to assure design quality, manage technical risks, and support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across data centre design and delivery phases
• Lead and review engineering designs to ensure compliance with performance and resilience requirements (e.g. N+1, 2N)
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues
• Identify and manage technical risks impacting cost, schedule, and quality
• Support construction activities, commissioning, testing, and defect resolution
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices

Requirements

• Strong experience delivering data centre projects in a senior or lead engineering role
• Solid understanding of high‑availability design and resilience strategies (e.g. N+1, 2N)
• Proven ability to lead design reviews, QA/QC, and technical assurance
• Experience supporting projects through to commissioning and handover
• Familiarity with digital engineering and BIM tools
• Background in mechanical or electrical data centre infrastructure
