Job Role

As a Senior QAQC Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory guidelines. Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System

Implement and maintain the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Project Quality Planning

Prepare and oversee Project Quality Plans (PQP) for all construction projects, ensuring thorough quality control measures are outlined and implemented.

Inspections and Audit

Conduct regular inspections and audits of materials, processes, and deliverables to identify defects, non-conformances, and areas for improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with quality standards and project schedules.

Regulatory Compliance

Analyze and assess suppliers and subcontractors for certification compliance with relevant build and construction authorities, ensuring quality requirements are met.

Continuous Improvement

Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the quality management system.

Data Analysis

Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics to identify trends, assess performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Documentation Management

Maintain comprehensive records of all quality assurance activities, including audits, inspection reports, and quality control plans, in accordance with ISO standards, while ensuring accessibility for review and compliance purposes.

Environment, Health and Safety Compliance

Ensure that all projects adhere to workplace health and safety policies, conducting assessments and audits as necessary to mitigate risks.

Ad-hoc Duties

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support overall project objectives.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in the building and construction industry, preferably with main contractor experience on large-scale projects.
• Resident Technical Officers (RTO) certification
• Quality Mark / CONQUAS certification
• ISO9001 Auditor certification & proficient understanding of quality assurance methodologies, inspection techniques, and quality control processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high levels of productivity and focus.
• Strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent planning and coordination abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist QA Manager in overseeing departmental operations and quality system effectiveness.
• Lead and support Corrective and Preventive Actions and Root Cause Analysis activities.
• Investigate customer complaints and prepare detailed reports.
• Drive Continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems.
• Manage suppliers' quality issues, including coordination with international suppliers.
• Conduct audits and ensure compliance with QHSE ISO standards
• Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Support cross-site quality alignment, including travel to Batam facility.
• Analyze quality data and recommend corrective actions.

Overseeing daily office operations to ensure efficiency and organization of the Company / Group Companies.

Admin/Office Operation

• Handle phone calls, attend guests and incoming emails.
• Prepare beverages for directors and guests
• Responsible for office equipment, staff uniforms, pantry refreshments, stationeries etc
• Arrange couriers
• Coordinate and/or support BizSafe/ISO and health and safety at work
• Liaise with internal colleague and banker on any request on project banker guarantees
• Book air-ticket for workers repatriation
• Organize and/or assist in annual dinner and dance, Christmas and CNY celebration, etc
• Administration support on company’s vehicles inspection, renewal of road tax include cash card and petrol card management

Human Resource

• Assist compute Overtime timesheets.
• New staff onboarding and exit clearance
• Assists to liaise with recruitment agent and arrange candidates for interview.
• Assists on administration of course
• Assists on Foreign workers’ matters including apply and renew work permit, managing foreign workers’ accommodation, workers’ repatriation
• Any others office operation and HR duties and/or ad hoc projects may be assigned by Manager and/or Management.

Job Requirements:

• Min ‘O’ level preferably with a Certificate in HRM.
• Good to have EA knowledge
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in similar job scope.
• Good level of proficiency in MS Office skills such as Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• Pleasant and positive personality with enthusiasm to learn
• Must be a team player.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Temporary role for 3 to 6 months,

To manage and co-ordinate with team members, subcontractors and suppliers to meets the contract budgets, specifications and requirements : -

• In-charge of tendering
• Request quotation from sub-contractors and suppliers including negotitation with them
• Ensure all are in track to submissions, deadlines and schedules
• Monitor and report on project process
• Investigate and highlight potential issues to the management in a timely method
• Prepare billings and report monthly
• Prepare variation orders/ extension of time
• Liasison with project site teams an ensure timely completion of activities
