Electro Optic Systems (https://eos-aus.com) is a global defence company in the business of design, development and manufacturing of defence weapon systems. Headquartered in Canberra, Australia, the Singapore subsidiary, EOS Defence Systems Pte Ltd, has an MRO Hub handling spare parts after-sales, depot servicing and technical field services in Singapore. The business unit is also dedicated to servicing existing end-users’ systems in the Asia-Pacific region.
Building upon our defence and space heritage, EOS Defence Systems is now establishing a design centre in Singapore to develop our next generation systems. We are now seeking talented and driven candidates to grow our engineering and development capabilities.
Primary Duties:
Specific Functions & Tasks
- Develop and propose design concepts for the next generation of Remote Weapons Systems
- See through the development process from conceptual design, detailed design to engineering drawings
- Conduct analysis and simulation for the structural, shock and vibration, as well as thermal aspects of the design
- Participate in design reviews
- Works closely with other development teams (Electronics, Opto-mechanical) for sub-system, system level testing and integration
- Work with systems engineers to ensure that the design is able to meet the requirements.
- Undertake test and evaluation activities on mechanical designs to verify and sign-off on the designs that have met the requirements.
- Prepare and review all documentation required to support designs.
Required Qualifications & Experience
You will be a detail-oriented problem solver and can work collaboratively with others. You demonstrate sound pragmatism and judgement and deep technical knowledge, capable of being adaptive to adjust the engineering effort based on priority changes.
You will ideally have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Post graduate qualifications in Engineering highly desirable.
- Experience in Defence sector desirable.
- Experience in designing and developing complex mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software (e.g., CREO) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS)
