Our backend teams span many domains across our essential service platforms. For instance, you might work on challenges such as:

• Problems that span from product to infrastructure including: distributed systems, at-scale service architecture and monitoring, workflow orchestration, and developer experience
• Build reliable, secure and high performance services and client libraries for storing and accessing humongous amount of data on cloud storage backends, e.g., AWS S3, GCS, Azure Blob Store
• Develop product features that empower our customers to easily store and access their data

What we look for:

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of production level experience in one of: Java, Scala, C++, or similar language
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems
• Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures
• Knowledge of SQL preferred

As a software engineer with a backend focus, you will work with your team to build infrastructure and products for the Databricks platform at scale.

The impact you'll have:

Our backend teams span many domains, from our core compute fabric resource management infrastructure, to service platforms, to machine learning infrastructure. For instance, you might work on challenges such as:

• Resource management infrastructure powering the big data and machine learning workloads on the Databricks platform in a scalable, secure, and cloud-agnostic way

• Develop reliable, scalable services and client libraries that work with massive amounts of data on the cloud, across geographic regions and Cloud providers

• Build tools to allow Databricks engineers to operate their services across different clouds and environments

• Build services, products and infrastructure at the intersection of machine learning and distributed systems

What we look for:

• BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field

• 5+ years of production level experience in one of: Java, Scala, C++, or similar language

As part of our accelerating APJ growth, Databricks is looking for a dynamic Named Hunter Account Executive to join the Digital Native team team. This is an exciting sales role that will make an important impact on the revenue and expansion of our business. As an Named Hunter Account Executive your mission will be to grow some of our focus customers in Databricks. You know how to sell within a specific vertical domain and can guide deals forward to compress decision cycles. You love understanding a product in-depth and are passionate about communicating its value to customers and partners. Always prospecting for new opportunities, you will close new accounts while growing our business in existing accounts. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Emerging Enterprise team.

The impact you will have:

• Evangelize Databricks' Unified Analytics Platform powered by Spark and launch the Databricks brand in Enterprise Accounts across all industries in ASEAN market
• Prospect, identify and source new sales opportunities, building pipeline individually and with the Databricks SDR team
• Engage with business and technical decision makers and lead them through the evaluation and buying process
• Exceed individual activity, pipeline and annual revenue targets
• Engage with and drive business through local partners (technology partners, ISVs, SIs and GSIs)

What we look for:

• 7+ years of experience selling SaaS solutions to Enterprise Customers
• Proven success in Enterprise Sales roles, ideally in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS technology
• Demonstrable experience of selling innovation, ideally in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS technology
• Solution and business-outcomes focused sales approach (Command of the Message, MEDDPIC, Challenger Sale)

As an Engagement Manager, you will ensure that our customers are making the most value of our products and services by positioning, preparing, managing the delivery and follow-up of our professional services and training engagements. This role is a strategic and cross-functional position that will partner closely with Sales, Field Engineering, Partners Support and Product Teams on campaigns, programs, and content. You will report to the Sr. Director, Professional Services
