Job Description

a) Programme and Project Management
• Support the Principal Investigator in the strategic and operational management of a large portfolio of modelling and public health research projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk registers, and milestone tracking systems across multiple concurrent studies.
• Monitor project progress to ensure deliverables, reporting requirements, and key performance indicators are met.

Qualifications

• Applicants are expected to have at least a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution. Having a scientific background (undergraduate degree in a science discipline) is a plus.

Job Description

The National Initiative for RNA Biology and its Applications (NIRBA) is a pioneering national program dedicated to advancing RNA biology research. Established with support from the National Research Foundation (NRF) under the Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore, we unite experts across multiple disciplines to address critical challenges in RNA science and its applications. 

NIRBA consists of four Innovation Clusters each designed to address a key challenge in RNA biology. Role Overview: We are hiring a Head of Science (Primary) to lead and strengthen a structured P3‒P6 Science programme.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining curriculum ownership, teaching, and teacher development. The role operates within an existing programme framework and is responsible for refining, improving, and scaling it to ensure consistent teaching quality and strong student outcomes across centres.

This role is critical in ensuring the programme delivers reliable results beyond individual teachers, with clear ownership over curriculum standards, teaching consistency, and overall programme effectiveness.

We’re looking for someone who can take a structured primary science programme, ensure consistent quality, and successfully roll it out across multiple centres.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Oversee and refine the P3‒P6 science curriculum, ensuring alignment with MOE syllabus and PSLE requirements
• Develop structured teaching approaches to ensure consistent lesson delivery
• Monitor student progress and continuously improve programme outcomes
• Engage parents through clear communication on student development
• Support trial classes and contribute to enrolment growth
• Teach 4‒6 classes per week, including at least 1 weekend, with teaching load adjusted as the teaching team expands
• Hire and train teachers to deliver high-quality lessons

Requirement:

• Degree in Science or related field (MOE/NIE-trained preferred
• Minimum 5‒8 years of Primary Science teaching experience.
• Proven track record of improving student outcomes. 
• Experience in curriculum development, mentoring, or academic leadership is advantageous. 
• Comfortable with weekend work and centre-based environment

1. Accounts & Finance   

• Maintain accounting records, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Perform monthly bookkeeping and financial data entry for the company and its affiliates.

• Manage and process company payments and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external accountants/auditors to support audits, statutory compliance, and tax filings across the company and group affiliates.

• Assist in the opening of corporate bank accounts and ensure the proper maintenance and smooth operation of all company banking activities.

2. Human Resources

• Manage recruitment and onboarding processes, including preparing employment contracts and maintaining employee documentation.

• Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance, leave tracking, and payroll inputs such as salaries and CPF contributions.

• Ensure compliance with Singapore labour laws and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Support employee performance management processes, including performance reviews.

• Assist with the application and renewal of work passes (e.g., SPass and Employment Pass) for employees and senior management, as required.

3. Office Administration

• Coordinate with the company secretary on annual statutory filing and corporate compliance matters for the company and group affiliates.

• Oversee daily office administration and facilities management to ensure smooth business operations.

• Maintain and organize records, files, and contracts related to vendors and service providers.

• Manage procurement of office supplies and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and operational needs are met.

• Handle office correspondence, documentation, and general administrative support.

• Provide administrative support to senior management,including assistance with ad hoc and personal matters when required.

4. Business Support

• Provide support for the group’s overseas projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or above in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in accounting, HR, and/or administrative roles.

• Practical knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.

• Understanding of labour laws and experience in payroll and HR compliance.

• Strong coordination, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

• Experience coordinating with companies in Mainland China is an advantage.

• Fluent in English and Chinese to communicate with Chinese-speaking external stakeholders and proficiency in Malay to communicate with Malay-speaking stakeholders is a plus.

Purpose

• Your role will be to drive the development and execution of Business Development (BD) strategies that drive growth for Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Investment Funds practices, ensuring alignment with Firm and Client and Sectors strategies.
• You will review opportunities identified using strong product insights and data-led intelligence, ensure cross-selling, and inform the BD strategy to drive profitable revenue growth.

Your key responsibilities

• Formulate Business Development (BD) strategies for Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Investment Funds practices, ensuring alignment with global BD growth objectives and global Firm strategy.
• Build and maintain close working relationships with partners and key stakeholders to support strategic and go-to-market objectives, facilitating regular communication and collaboration to ensure alignment.
• Manage the execution of BD initiatives, ensuring efforts support the practice’s objectives and wider Firm strategy, monitor progress and adjust tactics as needed to achieve desired BD outcomes.
• Ensure targets and key performance indicators are in place to track the effectiveness of BD efforts, and regularly review metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Leverage product, market and client feedback to execute the BD strategy, make use of data-driven insights to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
• Develop and implement focused Banking, R&I, and Investment Funds, sector, and client growth plans, facilitating cross-selling opportunities with global product teams, and ensure plans are tailored to specific market needs and opportunities.
• Provide oversight and guidance into win strategies and market-leading pitch submissions, and collaborate with Pitching teams to create compelling proposals that resonate with clients.
• Work closely with various Business Development & Marketing (BDM) teams, including Clients & Sectors teams, to drive growth in priority sectors and create compelling go-to-market campaigns, ensure campaigns are aligned with BD priorities and effectively engage target clients.
• Review data-led insights for opportunity spotting and pipeline management, ensure market trends are continuously monitored and adjust strategies to drive profitable revenue growth.

Your experience

• Extensive experience in business development within legal services, with specific focus on Banking, Restructuring & Insolvency, and Investment Funds sectors.
