Overview

As a Production Engineer, you are to assist the Production Manager in overseeing the production operation and work out schedules and plans, monitor progress, forecast demand of resources, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring smooth project delivery and optimization of production performance from conception to completion. You are to adhere to company's Integrated Management System (IMS) and compliance to applicable Singapore Standards and Regulations in the Industry.

Responsibilities

1. Plan, manage and coordinate projects to ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget and of highest quality.
2. Work closely with clients, suppliers, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities in projects managed.
3. Plan, develop, execute, monitor project schedule, resource plan and budget.
4. Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA / QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

14. Plan & carry out production or service under controlled conditions – including product characteristics, work instructions / standard work methods, casting schedule, material order, suitable equipment, Monitoring & Measurement (MM), release, delivery & post-delivery activities as well as propose yearly budget.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.

Requirements

1. Minimum Diploma in Civil / Building / Construction / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 3 years of supervisory level and relevant work experience in a Precast / Prefabricated Bathroom Unit (PBU) or Building & Construction environment.
2. Knowledge of precast construction practices, erection sequence, design, and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
3. Knowledge of relevant Statutory requirements and compliances.
4. Knowledge of ISO 9001, 18001 and 45001 will be an advantage.
5. Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Plant Biotechnologist carries out research projects and protocols as determined by the Principal Investigator, following procedures exactly as outlined, ensuring the consistency of research practices and, ultimately, helping ensure the consistency and integrity of project outcomes. It is important that the individual also provides feedback in the case that procedures are not producing as expected, communicating progress and advising of any issues that arise.

The Plant Biotechnologist must understand laboratory and plant tissue culture procedure, safety and regulations. In addition to a general knowledge of the overall objectives of the research project, they must have an understanding of the tactical methodology in particular. They will work alongside graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research associates, senior scientists, under the direction of the Principal Investigator, communicating progress and advising of any issues that arise. They must be able to adapt to modifications in protocol, changes in equipment or upgrades in software, as well as adjustments to the scope of research projects.

Basic Expectations for this position

• Proficient in all aspects of plant biotech laboratory procedure including ability to modify and adapt protocols to develop gene editing and transformation pipelines.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Work closely with signal team to ensure compliance with the WSH Act and its subsidiary legislations, including the provisions of the WSH (Construction) Regulations and WSH (Operation of Cranes) Regulations in daily lifting operations.
• Able to work from height to ascertain whether the ground conditions are safe for any lifting operations and report this to the lifting supervisor.
• Perform pre-work inspection on the crane as required by the manufacturer’s handbook to ensure that it is safe for operation and report any malfunction of the crane.
• Be prepared to stop work or to notify the WSHE Department in the event of any WSHE deviations
• Able to operate the crane in a safe manner under the clear signal from a signalman
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace

Requirements:

• Education: Certificate in Tower Crane (Saddle JIB) Operation
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of TCO experience
• Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course
• Registered Tower Crane Operator (MOM licensed)
• Having the reflexes and physical strength necessary to climb a tower to great heights (up to 80 metres)
• Ability to work alone in confined spaces for long duration and at height
• Good to have PPVC Lifting Course for Crane Operators (Saddle-jib Tower Crane)
