What You Will Do

• Greet and welcome patients, creating a warm and professional first impression

• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments

• Handle patient enquiries courteously via phone, email, and walk-ins

• Collect payments and process dental claims (CHAS, Medisave, insurance portals)

• Maintain clinic records, manage office supplies, and support daily administrative tasks

What You Need

• Diploma or degree in any discipline (local polytechnic, private university, or equivalent)

• Good communication skills in English (a second language is a plus)

• Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Able to work rotating day shifts across 7 days (including at least one weekend day)

• No prior healthcare experience required — comprehensive training provided

Department: Pathology

Working Hours: 3 shift, 5 days

Location: Kent Ridge

Perform routine histological tests in the Department of Pathology for use in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases.

Job Description:

• Perform reception of laboratory specimens, assign charge codes and rejection of those that are unacceptable according to rejection criteria.
• Assist pathologist during trimming and evaluation of specimens.
• Able to gross simple and uncomplicated specimens according to guidelines.
• Perform various technical functions including processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and complex staining, mounting and labeling of prepared slides and block check.
• Perform frozen cryo- sectioning.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, notify the appropriate personnel if equipment malfunction.
• Prepare and maintains all necessary reagents and stains according to proper specifications.
• Promptly carry out instruction(s) of senior staff with regard to work procedures and duties.
• Comply with good laboratory practice on all procedures in accordance with the laboratory protocols and SOPs.
• Comply with all requirements of the Laboratory Safety Manual.
• Undergo training and development as and when necessary.
• Assist in the inventory management of all the reagents and chemicals.
• Capable of handling frozen section for liver transplant and renal explant services.
• Assist in recording and filing of QA sheets.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Life Sciences/ Biomedical Science or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required as training provided

• Understudy Workplace Safety & Health Officer / Auditor

• Accurately document batch records in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
