Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to drive the growth and innovation of Smart PV (Solar Photovoltaic) and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) solutions. This role will lead solution strategy, market expansion, and pre-sales excellence, supporting business growth across utility, commercial & industrial (C&I), and digital power sectors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Performance & Delivery
- Own and drive key business performance indicators, including order intake, revenue targets, market share, and gross margin for Smart PV & BESS solutions.
- Align solution strategies with overall business objectives to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
2. Strategic Planning & Solution Innovation
- Lead strategic planning and market selection for PV and energy storage solutions.
- Conduct in-depth industry analysis (e.g., renewable energy trends, grid modernization, ESG drivers) to identify emerging opportunities.
- Translate customer needs into scenario-based, end-to-end solutions.
- Incubate and deliver lighthouse projects (0–1) to validate new business models and expand addressable markets.
3. Market Development & Sales Strategy
- Manage industry landscape and identify high-potential opportunity areas across utilities, IPPs, EPCs, and enterprise customers.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to convert pipeline opportunities into revenue.
- Engage key stakeholders to capture customer requirements, guide solution development, and improve win rates.
4. Ecosystem & Partner Enablement
- Build and enhance pre-sales capabilities of ecosystem partners (e.g., EPCs, system integrators, developers).
- Drive partner transformation from product-based selling to solution-based selling.
- Enable joint go-to-market strategies and scalable partner ecosystems.
5. Brand & Market Leadership
- Develop and execute product and solution marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning in the renewable energy sector.
- Promote thought leadership through industry events, forums, and customer engagements.
- Contribute to building a competitive and sustainable market environment.
6. Capability & Resource Optimization
- Establish and optimize product/solution resource centers and capability hubs.
- Improve operational efficiency, knowledge sharing, and solution reuse across teams.
- Strengthen team capabilities in pre-sales, solution design, and technical consulting.
- To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Power Engineering, or related field.
- Typically 8–12+ years of experience in solar PV, energy storage, or power systems solutions.
- Strong expertise in Smart PV systems, BESS design, grid integration, and energy management solutions.
- Proven experience in solution architecture, pre-sales, or technical consulting roles.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience driving revenue, margins, and large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with Southeast Asia energy markets, especially Singapore and ASEAN renewable policies and regulations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with EPCs, utilities, or large enterprise customers is highly preferred.
- Experience in leading lighthouse or flagship renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of digital power technologies, smart grid, or energy management platforms.
- Background in multinational environments or regional roles across APAC is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
