Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate vertical and horizontal lathe machines, as well as other machining equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances accurately.
- Ensure finished workpieces meet required dimensions and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning before and after operations.
- Conduct testing procedures to ensure machines operate efficiently.
- Monitor and manage raw material inventory; coordinate reordering when needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with safety standards.
- Work closely with other departments to meet production timelines.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and productivity.
- Provide regular updates on work progress to supervisors.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of lathe machine operations (vertical/horizontal).
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good awareness of workplace safety practices.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours; willing to work overtime when required.
- Fresh graduates from technical/vocational schools are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in machining or manufacturing is an added advantage.

About Merge Jati Group Merge Jati Engineering Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, was incorporated in 1999 as a supplier of engineering components and spares for palm oil mills. Since then it has progressed to become an established Industrial Plant Turnkey contractor and Proprietary Equipment Manufacturer.
