Job Summary

The Assistant QA Manager will assist in managing the Quality Assurance system, ensuring that all marine engineering, ship repair, fabrication, and offshore activities meet established quality standards. Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System

• Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, classification society requirements, and applicable marine regulations.

Audits & Compliance

• Plan and conduct internal quality audits.

1. Food Safety & Quality Management System

• Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) including HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, SFA regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures.

3. Hygiene, Sanitation & Cleaning Management

• Oversee and verify cleaning and sanitation procedures for processing equipment, utensils, production rooms, chillers, freezers, and common areas.
• Ensure proper implementation of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, sanitation verification, and pest control programs.
• Conduct pre-operation and post-cleaning inspections to ensure production readiness and hygiene compliance.
• Educate and enforce proper personal hygiene and food handling practices among all staff.

4. Audits, Compliance & Inspections

• Conduct internal audits, GMP inspections, glass & brittle plastic inspections, hygiene inspections, and process verification checks.
• Coordinate and support external audits and inspections by customers, certification bodies, SFA, and other regulatory authorities.
• Prepare corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) and follow up on audit findings until closure.
• Ensure traceability systems and mock recall exercises are properly maintained and executed annually.

5. Quality Assurance & Complaint Investigation

• Investigate customer complaints, product non-conformance, foreign matter cases, and food safety incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor product quality consistency, sensory evaluation, raw material acceptance, and finished product specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers, production personnel, and management regarding quality-related matters.

6. Documentation & Record Management

• Maintain accurate QA records including CCP monitoring logs, temperature records, production checklists, sanitation records, calibration records, batch manufacturing records, and traceability documentation.
• Ensure proper filing, retention, and updating of all QA-related documents and reports.
• Prepare QA reports, trend analysis, and quality performance summaries for management review.

7. Laboratory & Product Verification

• Coordinate with external laboratories for microbiological, shelf-life, environmental swab, and product testing.
• Conduct daily physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations on raw materials and finished products.
• Monitor product specifications, labeling accuracy, allergen controls, and packaging integrity.

8. Training & Staff Development

• Conduct orientation and refresher training for production staff on GMP, food hygiene, SOPs, HACCP awareness, cleaning procedures, and workplace safety.
• Guide and supervise production personnel to ensure proper operational and hygiene practices are consistently followed.
• Assist management in evaluating production staff competency, discipline, hygiene awareness, and work performance.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new production staff.

9. Cross-Functional Support

• Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Management teams to improve operational efficiency and food safety standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce wastage, contamination risks, customer complaints, and operational errors.
• Assist management in implementing new processes, products, equipment validation, and factory improvement projects.

Typical Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Quality Assurance, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, central kitchen, meat processing, seafood processing, or related food industry environment.
• Experience in HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, BRC, or FSSC food safety systems preferred.

This role will support the team lead to manage retainer and brand campaign projects, including day-to-day client liaison, interpreting client briefs, supporting strategic planning, and coordinating internal teams to deliver ongoing work.

This role requires experience working in an integrated communications or PR agency environment.

Responsibilities:

Account & Project Management

• Participate in client meetings with cross-agency partners and cross-functional teams
• Serve as a reliable day-to-day contact for clients and craft clear, professional written communication
• Translate client briefs and collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and execution plans
• Coordinate with internal teams, regional offices, and agency partners to ensure aligned execution across markets
• Oversee the quality of deliverables produced by junior team members
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet client expectations
• Manage project budgets, quotations, and related financial processes
• Lead the team in developing project recap reports and highlight key insights and learnings

Media/Influencer Relations

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with media & influencers across general and verticals
• Capable of pitching media/influencer editorial features and earn coverage
• Identify celebrities and influencers to support brand storytelling and engagement
• Manage media partnerships and oversee quality control of media content (including video and imagery)

Content Development

• Draft selected communication materials including press releases, speeches, event rundowns, briefing books, media and KOL briefs, and video scripts
• Review and refine deliverables produced by junior team members to ensure quality and consistency

Research & Planning

• Support the development of presentations and proposals using industry insights and market research
• Analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations

New Business Support

• Support the team lead in new business development, including client communication and pitch proposal preparation

Requirements:

• At least 5-6 years of experience in integrated comms or PR agency background
• Able to communicate and collaborate daily with overseas foreign colleagues and other stakeholders (e.g. media & KOL) via email and necessary tools (e.g. WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE, Viber,etc.) Strong presentation and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and liaise with clients effectively.
• A proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Experience working with cross-market or regional teams is a plus

About the Role

We are seeking a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager with solar experience to support our business growth in solar PV solutions, Zero CAPEX solar models, rooftop solar systems, and green energy projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, basic technical understanding of solar PV systems, and the ability to engage building owners, facility managers, developers, MCSTs, consultants, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar PV and renewable energy projects.

• Promote Gainmax’s solar solutions, including Zero CAPEX solar models, rooftop solar systems, and energy-saving solutions.

• Build and maintain relationships with building owners, developers, facility managers, MCSTs, consultants, and corporate clients.

• Conduct client meetings, site discussions, and project requirement briefings.

• Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, presentations, and sales documents.

• Coordinate with the engineering and project teams for technical assessment, site surveys, system sizing, and proposal preparation.

• Follow up with leads, manage sales pipelines, and achieve sales targets.

• Assist in market research, competitor analysis, and business development activities.

• Support company marketing campaigns, events, networking sessions, and lead generation activities.

• Maintain proper records of client communication, project opportunities, and sales progress.

• Occasionally travel overseas for project or business development matters when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of sales experience, preferably in solar PV, renewable energy, electrical, construction, or engineering industry.

• Candidates with solar PV experience will have an added advantage.

• Basic understanding of solar PV systems, rooftop solar, electricity savings, and PPA / Zero CAPEX models is preferred.

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Able to build good relationships with clients and follow through on sales opportunities.

• Proactive, responsible, target-driven, and willing to learn.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic digital tools.

• Possess own transport will be an advantage but not compulsory.
