Responsibilities:

Regulatory Advisory & Client Engagement

• Provide regulatory advice to clients in the UAE’s financial sector through license applications and ongoing operations such as inspections or thematic reviews.
• Interpret and apply UAE regulatory frameworks (DFSA and FSRA) within a common law / English-law–based regulatory environment.
• Work closely with client stakeholders to develop and implement or enhance compliance and AML/CFT frameworks and operational controls.

Outsourced Compliance & MLRO Responsibilities

• Act as outsourced Compliance Officer and/or MLRO for designated clients.
• Oversee clients’ AML/CFT processes, onboarding, surveillance, risk assessments, periodic filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead investigations, SAR submissions both internally and to the UAE FIU, remediation activities, and regulator correspondence.
• Ensure clients maintain robust, risk-based control environments aligned with UAE expectations.

Governance & Senior Leadership Interaction

• Prepare and present compliance reports, control assessments, and thematic reviews to client Boards and senior management.
• Provide clear interpretation of regulatory obligations and practical, risk-based recommendations to further business objectives while remaining in compliance.
• Represent the firm in high-stakes meetings with clients and regulators.

Team Leadership & Internal Development

• Mentor and supervise junior consultants and analysts.
• Write internal playbooks, methodologies, and best practices for outsourced compliance and MLRO services.

• Role is based in Malaysia but supports clients located in the UAE.
• Candidates should be willing and able to travel for approximately 30% of their time, with flexibility to reach ~50% during intensive engagement periods.
• Travel is typically short-duration and focused on high-value onsite work (walkthroughs, meetings, inspections).
• The role offers strong exposure to UAE operational environments without requiring relocation.

Preferred Background

8–12 years’ experience in:

• A regulatory authority (supervision, authorisation, AML/CFT or policy development in the capital markets or virtual assets space), or
• A capital markets or virtual assets firm in compliance or AML/CFT.
• Direct experience with achieving compliance under common law / English-law–based regulatory frameworks (e.g. Singapore, UK, Hong Kong); exposure to UAE regulatory regimes is a plus.
• Proven experience presenting to senior management and boards.
• Prior managerial or team leadership experience
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple concurrent engagements independently

Responsibilities

• Support senior consultants in delivering outsourced compliance and AML/CTF services to UAE-based financial institutions.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate documentation for regulatory filings, license applications, and ongoing compliance submissions.
• Liaise with client teams to collect information, clarify requirements, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Conduct regulatory research and prepare summaries for senior consultants on relevant rules, guidance, and supervisory expectations in the UAE.
• Assist senior consultants during on-site work by preparing materials, tracking issues, and following up with stakeholders.
• Maintain client compliance calendars, risk registers, and AML/CTF documentation.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal playbooks, methodologies, and best practices for outsourced compliance and MLRO services.

• 2–5 years of experience in either:
• Compliance or AML/CTF in either a financial institution or digital assets firm; or
• Supervision, authorisation or AML CFT in a financial regulator
• Direct experience with achieving compliance under common law / English-law-based regulatory frameworks (e.g., Singapore, UK, Hong Kong); exposure to UAE regulatory regimes is a plus.
• Working knowledge of compliance monitoring, KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, and reporting obligations.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to produce clear and well-structured compliance documentation.
• Comfortable handling detailed, process-oriented work essential to regulatory compliance.
• Proactive, organized, and able to handle multiple deliverables with tight timelines.
• Willingness to learn the UAE’s regulatory environment and its nuances.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, especially when coordinating across different time zones and cultures.
• Interest in developing a career in regulatory advisory, compliance, and AML/CTF in cross-border contexts.
• High degree of integrity and professional maturity, with sensitivity to confidential information.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Oversight & Controls

• Review and oversee end-to-end vendor invoice processing across multiple entities, ensuring adherence to internal policies, approval matrices, and payment timelines.
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance internal controls to mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks within the accounts payable function.
• Act as a key reviewer to identify errors, anomalies, and policy breaches, working closely with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Intercompany Settlements

• Review intercompany invoices and support schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with intercompany agreements.
• Monitor intercompany balances, ensuring timely settlement, reconciliation, and proper tracking of outstanding items.
• Strengthen intercompany processes to improve transparency and period-end close efficiency.

Expense & Credit Card Compliance

• Review employee credit card and expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies and management approval requirements.
• Investigate and resolve non-compliant or unusual transactions, providing guidance to employees and management.

Reconciliations, Schedules & Period Close

• Maintain accurate vendor master data within the ERP system.
• Prepare and review accounts payable aging reports, accrual schedules, and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparation of journal entries for month-end and year-end close.

Reporting, Compliance & Process Improvement

• Maintain and update finance policies to reflect regulatory and business changes.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and support budgeting processes.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Apply knowledge of Singapore GST regulations to support accurate reporting and submissions.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives across AP operations.

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Provide end to end support of key recruiting activities – interview scheduling, track interview progress, follow up on interview feedback and ensure timely communication with candidates and hiring teams
• Maintain and update applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment tracker with accurate candidate data
• Support the creation of job requisitions and manage job postings across internal and external platforms
• Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience across all stages of the recruitment journey
• Identify opportunities to enhance overall candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
• Provide support with additional tasks as needed by the team

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in recruitment coordination, HR, or administrative roles
