Tech Lead – Data Centre Network Architecture & NFVi

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead – Data Centre Network Architecture & NFVi to support a strategic enterprise customer engagement in Singapore.
This is a senior customer-facing role combining technology advisory, solution architecture, network consultancy and delivery leadership. The successful candidate will assess customers’ existing network environments, identify architecture gaps and recommend future-state solutions aligned with business objectives, industry trends and operational requirements.
The role requires a strong combination of Data Centre networking expertise, hands-on implementation experience and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including VP and C-level executives.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Advisory and Solution Consulting
- Build trusted-adviser relationships with customers, technical teams and senior executives.
- Assess customers’ current network architecture across multiple domains and recommend practical improvement areas.
- Identify architecture gaps, risks and technology opportunities.
- Advise customers on future-state infrastructure architecture based on industry trends and business requirements.
- Translate complex technical solutions into clear business outcomes for senior stakeholders.
- Provide pre-sales support, solution scoping and technical consultancy across multiple technology domains.
- Contribute to effort estimation, implementation timelines and solution options while managing customer expectations.
Data Centre Network Architecture
- Lead the design of high-level and low-level Data Centre network solutions.
- Architect scalable, resilient and secure network infrastructure environments.
- Design and advise on solutions involving:Cisco ACIVXLAN EVPNMulti-Pod and Multi-Site architectureData Centre Interconnect (DCI)WAN and LAN networkingSoftware-Defined WANSoftware-Defined AccessNetwork Functions Virtualisation Infrastructure (NFVi)Service orchestration
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable adoption strategies.
Project Delivery and Implementation
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, design, network staging, implementation, migration, testing and handover.
- Provide technical leadership during deployment and infrastructure transformation projects.
- Support troubleshooting of network incidents and technical issues during project implementation.
- Provide remote or onsite deployment support where required.
- Work closely with project managers, customer relationship teams, account teams, business units and cross-functional stakeholders.
Technical Leadership and Capability Development
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to delivery teams.
- Support capability development through knowledge sharing, training and coaching.
- Develop reusable tools, automation scripts and delivery best practices.
- Promote the use of automation and AI tools to improve delivery efficiency.
- Support the incubation of new end-to-end services and technology solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Data Centre networking, infrastructure architecture, network consultancy or solution delivery.
- Strong experience in Data Centre network planning, design and implementation.
- Deep hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and VXLAN EVPN.
- Experience designing or implementing Multi-Pod and Multi-Site architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus platforms, including:Nexus 9000Nexus 7000Nexus 5000Nexus 2000
- Experience with Catalyst series switches, DCI and virtualised network environments.
- Good knowledge of WAN, LAN, SD-WAN and Software-Defined Access technologies.
- Experience with NFVi solutions and service orchestration.
- Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to present complex architecture recommendations clearly to senior executives.
- Experience leading project delivery from solution design through implementation and handover.
Additional Technical Knowledge

Certifications
Relevant professional certifications are highly preferred, such as:
- CCIE or CCDE
- Cisco specialist certifications
- VCP or VCDX
- RHCE
- AWS, Azure or Google Cloud certifications
- Other recognised network, infrastructure or cloud certifications
