• IMPLEMENT AND MONITOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AT WORK SITES AND NATURE PARKS.

• MINIMUM 3 YEARS POST REGISTRATION EXPERIENCE AND RELEVANT PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IN CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION WORKS.
• GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL.
• INDEPENDENT AND WORK UNDER MINIMAL SUPERVISION.
• WELL CONVERSANT IN MICROSOFT OFFICE

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of landscape maintenance portfolios for softscapes and hardscapes.
• Plan work schedules, manpower and equipment according to contract specifications.
• Attend to clients’ requests, meetings and provide creative solutions for landscape issues.
• Conduct monthly site assessments to inspect horticultural practices and landscape quality requirements.
• Prepare site reports to detail observation and recommendations to be submitted monthly internally and externally.
• Establish reporting norms for supervisor and gardeners to follow and to report site progress and issues.
• Enforce workplace safety and health regulations for landscape maintenance on site.
• Coach and guide gardeners on performance expectations and tackle landscape challenges.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Horticulture or related field with 3 experience.
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Result-oriented personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem solver and team player with a strong sense of urgency.
• Immediate availability or can start work within short notice will be of great advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Proficient in wet trades and/or dry trades
• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or Foreman
• Report project progress to the Manager on a regular basis
• Plan, organize, and develop work schedules for site workers
• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities
• Act as a liaison between workers and management
• Ensure adequate manpower and proper staffing for the project
• Assign tasks and monitor worker performance
• Ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget
• Follow all instructions given by the Manager or Employer
• Maintain strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines
• Ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations
• Possess good mathematical skills for measurements and planning
• Maintain good physical condition and stamina
• Demonstrate a hardworking and responsible attitude

REQUIREMENT:

1. Certified WSHO from MOM

2. 3 years relevant working experience in Building and Construction Industry

3. Attended Risk Management Training

JOB DUTIES:

1. Assist Project Managers & Project Engineers to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace.

2. To coordinate and liaise with officers from LTA, JTC, PUB & NPARKS onsite and oversees project

with full co-operation with each other.

3. Conduct site safety inspection and enforce compliance of prevailing MOM Safety Acts and Regulations.

4. Conduct Monthly Safety Committee meetings and put up safety reports, including safety issues.

5. Regular inspection on the construction site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environment health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard.

6. Supervise all workers in providing safety measures and procedures in accordance with MOM Regulations.

7. Attend to all feedback on such irregularities and inform the occupier of the construction site accordingly.

8. Investigate all accidents which occurred and recommending appropriate health & safety measures to prevent

the re-occurrence.

9. Ensure the OHS management programme are effectively implemented and maintained.

10. Promote awareness among staff, workers, sub contractors, suppliers, etc.

11. Conduct and plan safety training awareness programme.

12. Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability.

13. Any other ad hoc duties assigned by project managers and project engineers.
