Our client is a fast-growing container chartering company with its own container network fleet.
They are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Post Fixture Operations Executive to oversee daily shipping operations. The role involves managing vessel operations between owners and charterers, coordinating closely with ports, agents, and customers across various trading regions, and assisting in handling both owner-related and operational matters in international trade lanes.
Job Summary
You will oversee post-fixture operations for container vessels, managing vessel performance, documentation, and coordination between owners, charterers, agents, and terminals to ensure smooth voyage execution and timely resolution of operational issues.
Responsibilities
- Handle all post-fixture activities for container vessels, ensuring smooth execution of voyages.
- Review voyage instructions, ensuring alignment with charter party terms.
- Monitor vessel performance, schedule adherence, and operational updates.
- Liaise closely with ship operators, agents, terminals, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage documentation including Bills of Lading, Statements of Facts (SOF), and port disbursements.
- Verify and process invoices, hire statements, and demurrage/despatch calculations.
- Coordinate bunker requirements and track consumption where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and highlight any deviations or claims.
- Maintain accurate records of voyage data and operational reports.
- Support resolution of operational issues and disputes in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in container shipping, operations, or post-fixture roles preferred.
- Familiarity with charter parties, voyage operations, and shipping documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Candidates with no prior experience but a strong interest in the shipping or maritime industry are also encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of container liner operations and scheduling will be an advantage
- Experience with shipping software systems.
- Basic understanding of freight calculations and cost control.
