Quality Technician (Measurement & Testing) - 2nd shift (02:45pm to 11:00pm)

Quality Technician (Measurement & Testing) - 2nd shift (02:45pm to 11:00pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various inspection tasks according to the laboratory schedule.

• Perform dimension measurements of three-coordinate, projector, height gauge, etc. according to the requirements of the drawings and issue reports.

• Perform dimension measurements of process start-up parts and process inspection parts according to the requirements of the inspection work instructions and feedback the results.

• Responsible for annual product dimension inspection and reporting.

• Responsible for the implementation of 5S in the measurement room.

• Regularly inspect the measuring equipment and monitor the ambient temperature and humidity as required.

• Promptly escalate any non-conforming items or equipment issues to superiors.

• Summarize and archive various records and reports.

• Participate in the annual review of measuring tools and the provision of MSA data.

• Participate in the acceptance of measurement auxiliary tooling and process inspection tools.

• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by Reporting Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Materials, or a related field.

• Candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered without a formal diploma.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CMM operation.

• At least 2 years of experience in measuring injection-molded parts.

• Knowledge of GD&T and able to quickly read the drawings, understand the measurement requirements and measure according to the drawings.

• Able to independently write CMM programs and operate three-coordinate measuring machines, and those who know Wenze or Zeiss three-coordinate measuring machines are preferred.

• Able to use Three-coordinate CMM, FARO joint arm measuring instrument, projector, height gauge, roughness meter, micrometer, plug gauge, etc.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Willing to travel overseas for training as required.

• Willing to work flexible shifts as required by operational needs.

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning and managing measurement activities for new projects, including measurement planning, tooling and inspection fixture development, and measurement programming. Ensure all measurement processes comply with drawing specifications and quality standards.

The role involves coordinating with internal teams, mold manufacturers, and customers to validate measurement methods and results, supporting product development and production quality. The Quality Engineer will also oversee measurement system analysis (MSA), maintain measurement documentation, and ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of measuring instruments to achieve accurate and reliable inspection outcomes.

Job Duty and Responsibility:

• Develop a measurement plan based on drawing requirements: select appropriate measuring instruments such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), articulated arms, projectors, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
• Determine whether inspection fixtures or auxiliary measuring tools are required, and define measurement personnel and cycle.
• Benchmark measurement plans and results with mold manufacturers and customers.
• Prepare coordinate measurement programming according to drawing requirements and guide technicians/inspectors in performing measurement procedures correctly.
• Develop measurement plans, submit reports to internal and external customers in a timely manner, and explain results when required.
• Responsible for the organization and archiving of measurement reports.
• Prepare operating instructions for measuring instruments and auxiliary tools.
• Train and guide newly hired measurement technicians/inspectors.
• Participate in the development of gauges and tooling, and provide suggestions on design and maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspection, maintenance and servicing of measuring instruments.
• Participate in acceptance and annual review of measuring and testing tools.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Entry Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Materials, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficient in GD&T knowledge
• Proficient in 3D software such as Pro-E, SolidWorks, Catia or NX
• Familiar with MSA and measurement management knowledge
• Strong logical thinking, communication and coordination skills, with ability to work in a team environment

Working Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates with experience in automotive production quality management, first-tier suppliers, or automotive fasteners will have an advantage

Production Technician (1st Shift)

Job Summary:

• Perform troubleshooting Injection Moulding operation & related equipment and performance of daily and minor PM’s.
• Perform Job Change as and when required
• To follow instructions; document and report hardware issue.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting Injection Moulding Operation & related equipment and performance of daily and minor PM’s
• Perform inspection as per requirement stated in PQC form
• Perform 2 hourly check on product for visual defect
• Perform 2 hourly check weight of water, pack & carton
• Perform area cleaning as required
• Follow all safety rules
• Inform Technician or Supervisor of problems
• Learn to troubleshoot customized Automated Machinery
• Other duties assigned as & when required.

Production Operator (Shift Hours, 5-Days Work with OT Arrangements)

Job Summary:

• Perform Checking & Inspection of Product as per SOP

• Perform Packaging Criteria as per Specification

• Perform Basic 5S Requirement

• Check all packaging material is according to Packing Instruction

• Perform Inspection as per requirement stated in PQC form

• Perform 2 hourly check on product for visual defect

• Responsible for writing operating instructions for measuring instruments and auxiliary measuring tools.

• Participate in the development process of gauges and tooling, and provide effective suggestions on the design and daily maintenance of gauges and measurement auxiliary tooling.
• Regularly organize inspection, daily maintenance and servicing of measuring instruments.
• Participate in the acceptance and annual review of measuring and testing tools.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the leader.

Entry Requirements:

• College degree or above, major in mechanics or polymer materials
• Proficient in GD&T knowledge.
• Proficient in using 3D software such as Pro-E, Solidworks, and Catia; NX
• Be familiar with MSA and master measurement management knowledge.
• Have team leadership ability, strong logical thinking ability and communication and coordination ability.

Working Experience:

• 3 years or more of relevant work experience.
• Priority is given to candidates with production quality management experience in the automotive industry, quality management experience in automotive first-tier suppliers, and experience in automotive fasteners.

Language Skills:

• Be able to write and communicate in English well, able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
