Job Description

The Manager, Risk & Compliance is a new role at Hafnia, to be based in Singapore or Copenhagen and part of the Governance, Risk & Compliance pillar within the Executive Projects, Compliance & ESG team. The team works closely with Hafnia's Leadership Group across three pillars to enable strategic execution, safeguard the organization through robust governance and risk oversight, and embed sustainability across the business.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance. During an initial transition period, the role will report directly to the Head of Executive Projects, Compliance & ESG.

This position will play a critical role in operating Hafnia's risk management framework and Corporate Compliance Program, driving compliance efforts and managing enterprise risks. It involves guiding departments and maintaining oversight on compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to sanctions, anti-corruption, anti-trust, anti-money laundering, GDPR, and business ethics. A key focus is building a strong culture of integrity and adherence to regulatory and risk standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Risk management framework

• Operationalize and continuously improve Hafnia's enterprise risk management framework
• Conduct risk assessments and risk reviews with business owners across functions
• Maintain Hafnia's risk register and relevant documentation
• Work with business owners to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans

Regulatory compliance and governance for corporate office

• Develop, implement and regularly review our compliance policies
• Keep up to date on regulatory developments to ensure the business remains complaint
• Assess effectiveness of the Compliance Program and adapt it to regulatory developments and emerging risks
• Coordinate regularly with the legal team and HSEQ department on compliance matters
• Represent Hafnia and develop its engagement within the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) and other industry forums.

Forward Freight Agreement (FFA) governance

• Oversee the governance and compliance framework for Hafnia's FFA activities
• Maintain FFA-related controls, policies and documentation
• Coordinate with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure consistent FFA compliance and reporting

Corporate ethics and integrity

• Champion a culture of compliance and ethical decision-making across the organization
• Monitor adherence to our policies and procedures
• Develop compliance training programs and conduct mandatory training and awareness sessions, partnering with the Executive Projects team on rollout and change management
• Manage our whistleblower program and protection mechanisms
• Advise on internal investigations and corrective actions in case of violations

Reporting and auditor coordination

• Manage internal and external audit inquiries relating to Enterprise Risk Management and compliance activities
• Maintain documentation related to compliance and enterprise risk management
• Ensure timely reporting and resolution to inquiries or audits
• Report top risks to leadership and the Audit Committee on a regular cycle

Cross-functional collaboration

• Work with the Executive Projects team on policy implementation and change management initiatives
• Coordinate with the ESG team on governance frameworks, ESG risk integration and assurance alignment
• Work across Legal, HSEQ, Internal Audit and Commercial functions on shared risk and compliance topics

Crisis management and incident response

• Develop and implement crisis response strategies for compliance and risk-related incidents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience working in shipping, compliance and/or risk management, preferably within an in-house team and in a global context. Legal experience is a plus.

Part B. Required Experience, Competencies & Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering from an accredited polytechnic (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2-3years’ experience in aerospace quality (management) systems or a quality assurance role.
• Knowledge of aviation regulation such as Part 145 EASA, FAA, CASA, SMS and AS9100.
• Knowledge of and experience with aircraft / component (parts) maintenance.
• Internal auditor trained with auditing experience is preferred. 
• Proficiency with PC tools and software.

• Review customer due diligence (CDD) and support AML/CFT compliance across corporate banking, trade finance, treasury, and financial institutions.

About the Role

The Senior Control Software Engineer (Space Laser Communications) is responsible for design and performance improvements of control systems at Transcelestial, specifically for our space laser communication devices. This position is part of the Space Team, led by Dr. Jan Smisek (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jan-smisek/). This position will also interact with the rest of the hardware, manufacturing and software design teams to assist with the overall development of the optical systems and new optical alignment technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily Quality Control (QC) testing for raw materials, in-process manufacturing, and recurring inspections.
• Assist in root cause analysis for product complaints and production rejects, review records, and conduct stability studies.
• Support supervisors in meeting Quality Assurance (QA) targets, such as First-Time Right (FTR) and performance indices.
• Assist in upholding ISO 9001 standards, managing documentation, conducting internal audits, and ensuring good laboratory practices.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Nitec in a Chemical-related discipline.
• Prior QC experience within a chemical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Possess prior experience in operating lab equipment such as Gas Chromatographs, Differential Scanning Calorimeters, Autotitrators, and Karl Fischer Titrators.
• Comfortable working on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

The Laboratory Technician conducts laboratory tests and analyses following established procedures and safety protocols. Supporting quality control and production, this role will be working 12 hours day and night shifts, involves in sample analysis, data collection, equipment maintenance, and ensuring reliable results at the EVAL Manufacturing site, starting in late 2026. The technician will be trained in future production roles to support safe, efficient operations. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the technician will receive training from Kuraray members and assist with laboratory equipment commissioning, ensuring a smooth launch of the new EVAL Quality Control Laboratory.

Responsibilities:

·      Conducting laboratory tests and analyzing in-process samples using specified instruments and equipment.

·      Preparation of chemical reagents.

·      Timely communication of analysis results to the Production Supervisor and Day QC team in the event of any abnormalities, ensuring swift remedial action if required

·      Conducting incoming inspection of chemicals (Methanol, NaOH, Azobis 2 4-dimehyl valeronitrile catalyst, VAM Acetic Acid) and advises Supervisor of material acceptance.

·      Conduct equipment daily validation (eg Analytical balance standard weight check, ph meter calibration and buffer check, KF standardization) and run with control sample for equipment performance check. Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.

·      Carry out basic instrumentation and equipment functions and conduct maintenance, gas cylinder changeout and troubleshooting,where necessary.

·      Highlight Maintenance request notifications need to Supervision and QC members.

·      Assist in commissioning and de-commissioning of laboratory equipment.##_msocom_3

·      Assist in preparing lab equipment for maintenance and ensure equipment energy sources are isolated.

·      Participate in emergency response drills.

·      Maintain clean, organized, and safe laboratory conditions as per 5S standard.

·      Understand and comply with departmental Safety and Environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.

·      Contribute to the improvement of the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Programs.

·      Carry out any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or QC personnel.

Qualifications:

• NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology.
• At least 5 years’ working experience as Laboratory or Chemical Technician in chemical industry.
