Get to Know the Role

You will directly report to the Engineering Manager of the Core Experience Growth Team. As a significant and autonomous contributor to your team, your team will trust you with designing their software systems with high quality. You will take an active role in your projects as a team member and involve yourself from design to rollout, taking ownership of your work and always focusing on moving your projects forward. This is an onsite role based in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Collaborate with mobile and backend engineers, designers, data scientists, and product managers to build features.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
• Brainstorm ideas, identify problems, propose and implement solutions geared towards scale and performance.
• Take full ownership of projects that are built to meet functional and non-functional requirements of our users and partners.
• Design, implement, instrument and deploy performant and reusable iOS components.
• Lead Collaboration with partners across teams and roles, to resolve ambiguous, multi dimensional business, legal, and product needs.
• Participate in interview loops to help Grab continue hiring top industry talent.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship and knowledge sharing to peers.

What you'll be doing

Role and Project Scope:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate ML Platform Engineer to join our team and build the next generation of our machine learning infrastructure. The CU/BU Engineer is responsible for the engineering, operation, and lifecycle management of Clean Utilities (CU) and Black Utilities (BU) systems, including purified water, water for injection, pure steam, process gases, and other utility systems. The role encompasses both the project phase and operational phase, ensuring systems are designed, installed, validated, and maintained to meet GMP and regulatory requirements while delivering safe, reliable, and efficient performance. Project Phase (Design, Commissioning, Qualification)

• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design, installation, and validation of clean utilities systems (e.g., purified water, WFI, pure steam, special gases), ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with GMP and industry standards.

About the team

What you’ll do
