ROLE PURPOSE
The O2C Lead is the end-to-end design and delivery authority for the Order-to-Cash workstream across an S/4HANA transformation programme. The role spans SAP SD, Customer Service (CS), Customer Master, Contracts, Pricing, Billing, and Accounts Receivable, harmonising fragmented landscapes into a single, adoptable S/4HANA O2C template.
The Lead owns cross-module integration, drives fit-to-standard methodology, and serves as the primary point of accountability to the customer’s O2C business leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. O2C Design & Configuration
• Lead end-to-end O2C design across SD, Customer Master, contracts, pricing, billing, and AR.
• Harmonise fragmented order types, pricing conditions, and billing variants into one cohesive S/4HANA O2C template.
• Establish a unified invoicing framework aligned to business and statutory requirements.
2. SAP Customer Service (CS)
• Configure SAP CS for service contracts, notifications, service orders, and resource-related billing (RRB).
• Ensure seamless integration between CS and Plant Maintenance (PM) for equipment-linked service scenarios.
• Design and validate the end-to-end field-service and depot-repair order flows.
3. Cross-Module & Platform Integration
• Own integration architecture across FI/AR, MM, PP, PM, and WM/EWM modules.
• Lead design and oversight of O2C interfaces via BTP Integration Suite (API Management, Cloud Integration).
• Collaborate with BTP architects on middleware design for third-party logistics, EDI, and e-invoicing connectors.
4. Fit-to-Standard & Governance
• Drive fit-to-standard workshops and playback sessions with business stakeholders across all O2C sub-processes.
• Own the WRICEF catalogue for O2C: define, prioritise, and govern enhancements, interfaces, reports, and forms.
• Manage the functional specification pipeline and ensure traceability from business requirement to solution design.
5. Testing & Quality
• Plan and execute UAT for the full O2C scope, including CS and integration scenarios.
• Define test scripts, manage defect triage, and sign off on test completion criteria with business leads.
• Coordinate SIT cycles in partnership with the technical and integration teams.
6. Team & Stakeholder Leadership
• Manage a blended onshore/offshore team—set delivery standards, conduct reviews, and mentor junior consultants.
• Act as the single point of accountability to the customer’s O2C business leadership for status, risks, and decisions.
• Facilitate executive steering updates and escalation resolution.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
SAP Functional Expertise
• 8+ years of hands-on SAP SD configuration: order management, pricing (condition technique), billing, credit management, and output management.
• 3+ years of SAP CS configuration: service contracts (value/quantity contracts), service notifications, service orders, and resource-related billing.
• Deep knowledge of Customer Master data model in S/4HANA (Business Partner framework, account groups, partner functions).
• Strong understanding of AR integration: payment terms, dunning, account determination, and cash application.
S/4HANA Programme Delivery
• Minimum 2 end-to-end S/4HANA implementations as SD workstream lead (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition).
• Proven experience running fit-to-standard workshops in an Activate methodology framework.
• Hands-on WRICEF management experience—from impact assessment through to build sign-off.
Integration & Technology
• Working knowledge of SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration / API Management) for O2C integration scenarios.
• Familiarity with EDI standards (ORDERS, ORDRSP, INVOIC) and e-invoicing regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of PM/CS integration for equipment, functional locations, and warranty management.
Leadership & Soft Skills
• Demonstrated experience managing onshore/offshore delivery teams of 5+ consultants.
• Strong executive communication skills; able to translate complex functional designs into business-friendly language.
• Adept at facilitating workshops, managing stakeholder conflict, and driving consensus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sales or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP Field Service Management (FSM) integrated with CS/PM.
• Exposure to revenue recognition scenarios (IFRS 15 / ASC 606) in SD/CS billing.
• Prior experience in asset-intensive or service-centric industries (Utilities, Industrial Machinery, High-Tech).
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori UX for SD/CS transaction replacement.
