The Opportunity:

As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to work in Bangkok for Agoda Services Co. Ltd. You will be part of a broader tax advisory team that is rapidly growing in light of the changing tax landscape for digital services. While being part of the broader Tax and Finance team (more than 300 professionals) you will also work closely with the Product, Commercial and Legal teams.  

The aim of this position is to manage global tax advisory matters related to VAT, sales tax, GST and other indirect taxes for Agoda, including the compliance with tax regulations across the globe, with special focus on relationship and transactions with Strategic Partners in a fast‑evolving business environment. Key Responsibilities:

WSH System Implementation: Establish and maintain a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) system, including the formation of SHE committees, site inspections, and site safety management.

ePTW System Management: Implement and manage the electronic Permit to Work (ePTW) system as required by the client.

New Worker WSH Program: Develop and implement a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) program for new workers, including identification systems for qualified personnel and operators.

Coordination and Planning: Attend SHE coordination meetings, plan work sequences, identify incompatible works and risks/hazards, and develop site maps for delivery and storage improvements.

Incident Management: Handlenear-miss, accident, and incident reporting, and propose remedial measures to prevent recurrence.

SHE Documentation: Prepare, maintain, and manage the Project Safety, Health, and Environment System (SHEMs). Responsible for preparing the monthly SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) report. Experience with ZAP 2.0 system will be considered an added advantage.

Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections and propose remedial measures to prevent recurrence.

In-House Rules and PPE: Establish in-house rules and regulations, and determine Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needs.

SHE Promotion Program: Develop and implement an annual SHE promotion program, with a minimum of two campaigns each year.

Risk Assessment: Assess SHE risks and maintenance regimes required for equipment and tools.Hazardous Substances Management: Assess Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and manage hazardous substances and chemicals where applicable.

Monthly Assessments: Plan and manage monthly Environmental, Safety, and Security (ESS) assessments.

Team Management: Manage Workplace Safety and Health Officers (WSHO) or Workplace Safety and Health Coordinators (WSHC) reporting to respective project leads.

Safety Critical Activities: Identify all safety-critical activities and ensure proper method statements and risk assessments are accepted by the client engineer prior to the start of works.

Training: Conduct internal safety, health, and environment training for staff/partners and mandatory external WSH-related training required by the client. Prepare safety briefing/training material; Conduct SHE training sessions, safety orientations or induction courses, and Safety Time-Out (STO) briefings.

SHE Audits: Perform SHE audits as required by the contract.Requirements:

Educational Background: Degree or Diploma in an Engineering discipline.

Professional Qualifications: WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or higher.

Registration: Ministry of Manpower (MoM) Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (at least 10 years post-registration with MoM) and Registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with NEA.

Experience: Relevant experience in railway projects (LTA, NEL, NSEWL, BPLRT) is preferred.

Main Purpose of Job:

To manage a team of Investment Analysts within the Asia Portfolio Management Team and to assist and lead elements of portfolio monitoring and construction across the suite of the AME investment proposition, which includes multi-asset fund-of-funds, discretionary and advisory model portfolios, and regular savings plans, across multiple currencies. The job holder is expected to:

• Lead and proactively evolve key processes that are foundational to the AME investment decision making.
• Deliver accurate and insightful analysis to improve understanding of existing positioning and to identify opportunities in pursuit of leading client outcomes.
• Support regular monitoring and commentary to deliver high quality reporting that is tailored to the end user, be it investment committees, senior management, the Partnership, or clients.
• Support the creation of evidence-based proposals for changes to portfolio positioning.

Key Responsibilities of the Job:

• Lead and support elements of the monitoring, design and change of the SJP AME multi-asset solutions to facilitate industry leading client outcomes.
• Take responsibility to maintain and proactively develop key elements of the investment process and frameworks, exploring opportunities to improve efficiency and lower risk.
• Lead the supervision and oversight of workflow from junior team members to ensure accuracy and exacting standards of reports and analysis are upheld.
• Highlight any key risks or considerations arising from the portfolio and fund monitoring process to the Asia Investment Committee.
• Ensure that monthly and quarterly (or ad-hoc) portfolio and fund reports for Partners are available in a timely manner, and that the portfolio management team is able to manage technical queries from partners.
• Provide investment expertise and knowledge to lead day-to-day operational/communications needs of the other Investment teams; and ensure internal compliance regulations complied with by flagging irregularities and potential risks.
• Periodic representation of the AME Portfolio Management team at group-wide governance forums as required.

Requirements of the Job:

Job Knowledge:

• Practical experience within fund research and/or applying portfolio construction theory.
• Ability to lead, manage, influence, and prioritize across multiple workstreams to ensure successful and timely outcomes.
• Ability to analyse large datasets, critically evaluate and enhance key investment processes.
• Adept and meticulous in being able to review large volumes of work and identify inconsistencies and errors.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, VBA, and PowerPoint, ideally with practical experience using programming languages such as python or R.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA.
• Detailed understanding of financial markets and the fund management industry, with the ability to analyze the impact of the market environment and communicate this to a variety of stakeholders.
