Role Overview

The Assistant Manager, Solutions is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of customized logistics solutions for e-commerce marketplaces and retailers. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Finance, Commercial, Tech, and Network Planning—to ensure the delivery of scalable, customer-centric logistics products that drive commercial and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Development & Launch

• Design and implement tailored logistics solutions across ground and air transportation, customs, and supply chain optimization.
• Manage the end-to-end solution lifecycle—from initial requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
• Ensure solutions meet customer expectations, align with operational capabilities, and achieve financial targets.

2. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Finance, Tech, and Network Planning to create efficient and scalable logistics processes.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to understand client needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Facilitate communication and coordination across departments to ensure alignment and successful solutions implementation.

3. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Leverage qualitative insights and quantitative data to guide solution decisions
• Gather feedback from stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving discussions to drive clarity, decisions, and ownership.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.

4. Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate closely with Regional Solutions team to align local execution with regional strategies, frameworks, and priorities. 
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Mentor and coach commercial team members involved in solution development.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures.

Experience: 4–5+ years in logistics, supply chain, or related roles, with hands-on experience in managing logistics solutions or product launches.

Industry Knowledge: Experience in e-commerce, retail logistics, or 3PL is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).

Technical Skills

• In-depth understanding of cross-border logistics, air freight, customs, and delivery operations.
• Problem-solver able to translate customer challenges into clear, executable solution designs
• Strong data analysis skills; able to use performance metrics to guide decisions.
• Familiarity with logistics technology platforms or ERP systems is a plus.

Role Purpose

• The Manager, Air Partners (PH) is responsible for managing and developing strategic airline partnerships at PH, ensuring commercially sound agreements, reliable capacity access, and strong partner performance. The role focuses on contract ownership, partner negotiations, commercial governance, and cross-functional coordination to support revenue growth and network objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Air Partner Strategy & Management

• Own and manage relationships with airline partners operating out of PH under different Capacity partnership models via Interline, Freighter deployments, Freight forwarding and GSA
• Develop partner strategies aligned with network, pricing, and commercial objectives.
• Act as the primary escalation and decision point for partner-related commercial matters at station/regional level.

Contracting & Commercial Negotiation

• Lead negotiations and management of air partner agreements including interline, SPA, block space, capacity, and cooperation agreements.
• Ensure commercial terms (rates, capacity commitments, incentives, penalties, SLAs) are competitive and sustainable.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management including renewals, amendments, and terminations.

Capacity & Performance Oversight

• Ensure contracted capacity is effectively utilized and aligned with demand driven by tight communication with Sales, Solutions and Revenue management departments
• Monitor partner performance against contractual commitments (capacity delivery, service levels, reliability, cost) - be proactive to ensure to minimize leakages
• Identify underperformance, risks, or leakage and drive corrective actions with partners and internal teams.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Pricing, Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure seamless implementation of partner agreements.
• Align partner strategies with market requirements, customer needs, and operational constraints.
• Represent the company in partner meetings, reviews, and commercial forums in PH.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure all partner agreements comply with internal governance, regulatory requirements, and aviation standards under tight coordination with HQ contracts team
• Maintain clear documentation, approval trails, and audit-ready records.
• Identify contractual, financial, and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Market & Commercial Insights

• Track market developments, competitor partnerships, and capacity trends at PH.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management on partner mix, capacity allocation, and commercial optimization.
• Support business cases for new partnerships or expansion of existing agreements.

Leadership & Team Development

• Provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to executives or senior executives supporting air partner management.
• Drive standardization of processes, templates, and best practices within the partnerships function.
• Support regional or HQ-led initiatives related to partnerships and network expansion.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in airline or air cargo commercial roles, with strong exposure to partnerships, contracts,network management and freight forwarding.
• Proven experience negotiating and managing airline commercial agreements.
• Well versed in IATA Clearing House and CASS Settlements
• Strong understanding of the PH cargo/passenger market and airline operating environment is a strong advantage.
