Job Summary

Lead and coordinate technical and design aspects of construction projects by managing shop drawings, liaising with consultants and subcontractors, and supporting project teams to ensure timely approvals and smooth execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review and coordination of shop drawings and as-built drawings across Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Specialist Subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements
• Review project specifications, shop drawings, and technical clarifications to maintain compliance and quality standards
• Prepare and monitor progress schedules for shop drawings and samples, integrating with procurement timelines to support project delivery
• Manage the submission and approval process of shop drawings and samples with Consultants to secure timely endorsements
• Oversee the receipt and issuance of all Consultant and shop drawings to maintain accurate documentation and version control
• Liaise and coordinate with Consultants, Authorities, and Subcontractors to resolve design issues and facilitate project progress
• Assist the Project team in resolving technical and coordination challenges with Subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow
• Chair and participate in design technical meetings with Consultants and Subcontractors to drive issue resolution and alignment
• Provide technical input to the Project contracts department for variation order claims related to design changes
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Superior to support project and organizational objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Recognized Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drawing coordination and management within the Singapore Construction Industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD software

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in BIM projects
• Knowledge of Specialist trade works such as Curtainwall, Stone, and Interior design works
• Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong motivation, teamwork skills, and ability to perform under pressure

• Review project specifications, shop drawings, and technical clarifications to resolve design issues and uphold project standards
• Prepare and monitor progress schedules for shop drawings and samples aligned with procurement timelines to support timely project delivery
• Manage the submission and approval process of shop drawings and samples with Consultants to secure timely endorsements
• Oversee the receipt and issuance of all Consultant and shop drawings to maintain document control and ensure version accuracy
• Liaise and coordinate with Consultants, Authorities, and Subcontractors to address design issues and facilitate smooth project execution
• Support the Project team by resolving technical and coordination issues with Subcontractors to minimize delays and conflicts
• Lead and chair design technical meetings with Consultants and Subcontractors to drive consensus and clarify project requirements
• Assist the Project contracts department in preparing variation order claims related to design changes to ensure accurate contract management
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superior to support project and company objectives
