CUSTOMS ANALYST, GLOBAL TRADE COMPLIANCE

As Global Trade Compliance Customs Analyst, you will help the business understand and navigate applicable trade laws and regulations in APAC and other regions. The ideal candidate will have worked with multinational organizations and have experience with trade compliance related matters on imports and exports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support day-to-day trade operations by working with customs brokers for timely and accurate customs clearance
• Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on import and export shipment statuses
• Maintain applicable trade documentation according to local regulatory requirements
• Draft and maintain trade compliance Standard Operating Procedures
• Obtain import and export data from providers and the government, where applicable, to support import tax reclamations and duty mitigation opportunities
• Assist in monitoring and interpreting international trade regulations and laws regarding the telecommunication industry
• Assist in conducting internal audits to identify compliance gaps and participate in broker evaluations
• Other assignments and ad hoc projects as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain management, and/or international trade
• 1+ years of experience with international trade compliance matters

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Prior international assignments or projects
• Knowledge of aerospace and/or telecommunications industry
• Data analytics and systemic skills, including experience with Power BI, advanced excel and tools such as SQL, Python or similar
• Experience working with cross-functional global teams and external government agencies

SR. CONSUMER SALES MANAGER, APAC SALES (STARLINK)

The Consumer Sales Team is seeking a Consumer Sales Manager based in Singapore to drive our retail strategy and execute in one of our most important and high-potential markets. This person will play a key role in expanding our consumer footprint and managing relationships with retail partners and distributors in target APAC countries. 
 
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Retail sales within the Consumer Electronics, Telecommunications, or Technology sectors, with a proven track record of launching new products, building strategic channel partnerships, and driving significant sales growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the European retail landscape across major electronics retailers, mass merchants, and potentially specialized, regional chains.

Success will require systems thinking, creativity, and excellent communication skills to synthesize information that shapes future products and strategic direction. RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Define and execute comprehensive channel strategies for retail sales, identifying target retailers, sales channels, and go-to market approaches
• Identify, establish, and grow strategic relationships with key omni channel partners (e.g. electronics retailers, distributors, etc.) that enable an online and offline strategy
• Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs. Drive aggressive sales targets and implement initiatives to achieve and exceed them. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to develop compelling retail merchandising strategies, in-store displays, product demonstrations, and sales tools that effectively communicate Starlink’s value proposition to consumers
• Successfully negotiate and close partnership deals between SpaceX and Omnichannel (e.g. Retail, niche resellers, B2B partners, etc.) customers
• Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive activities within Asia's broadband and Retail sectors
• Work closely with marketing, product management, engineering, finance, compliance and legal teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated go-to-market plan buttresses Asia business
• Measure and report the result of sales and plan execution
• Act as an extreme owner of assigned region to realize forecasted revenue on or ahead of schedule, identifying and successfully communicating readiness levels, requirements, schedules and risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional team (engineering, regulatory, business, planning etc.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of professional business development, sales, operations, engineering, or account management experience; OR high school diploma/equivalency certificate and 8+ years of professional business development, sales, operations, engineering, or account management experience
• 3+ years of consulting or project management experience in business development or sales
• 5+ years of experience working with customers to support a technical product or service

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience developing go-to-market strategies or building sales channels in international markets with proven track record of successfully launching and scaling new products across Asia
• Proven retail industry experience within consumer electronics, CPG, or FMCG
• Independently motivated, with a demonstrated track record of project ownership
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated technical aptitude in a professional setting
• Familiarity with satellite communications and/or the Asia Pacific region retail landscape, its key partners, sales cycles, and consumer purchasing behaviors
• MBA or master's degree with a business or engineering focused curriculum
• Fluency in Japanese

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations
• Must be willing to travel to other SpaceX offices and customer locations as needed up to 50% within the APAC and US region

SR. SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (STARLINK)

SpaceX is leveraging our experience building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s largest satellite constellation and most advanced broadband internet system. We provide reliable and fast internet to millions of users worldwide, including populations with little or no connectivity, rural communities, aircraft, watercraft, and places where existing services are unreliable, too expensive, or disconnected by natural disasters. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system, thousands of satellites and consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing. The Starlink team is seeking out the best-in-class professionals to maximize Starlink’s potential for communities and businesses around the globe.

This is a high-profile, cross-functional position that plays an integral role in enabling development and production flow of Starlink user terminals. You will work in close coordination with internal engineering and manufacturing departments as well as directly with suppliers to execute effective, creative, and smart supply chain strategies to achieve production goals. With integration taking place in-house, supplier development engineers are able to see their assemblies come to life every day!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in Starlink user terminals
• Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to gain an in-depth knowledge of piece part, assembly, metrology, and/or sub-system design intent
• Support the procurement team to strategically source parts matched with supplier competencies by reviewing and assessing supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems
• Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements based on customer and program requirements and expectations for NPI and production phases
• Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis, while functioning as liaison between purchasing, engineering, production, and suppliers
• Define product technical requirements, and ensure supplier compliance with these requirements
• Implement and monitor the production part approval process (PPAP) with selected suppliers to enable rate production
• Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and pinpoint systemic performance gaps and root causes to drive supplier improvement plans
• Conduct independent research to identify potential new suppliers and capabilities in manufacturing and metrology
• Identify and drive product & process improvements to lower part cost, reduce supply risk, eliminate potential defects, and improve cycle time
• Effectively manage mission-critical supply chain by establishing excellent working relationships and regular lines of communication with suppliers
• Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, proactivity, technical excellence, creativity, self-direction, and courage
• Collaborate with teams, lead projects, and continuously drive improvement in the supply base

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 6+ years of experience in one of the following: supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, design engineering

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Master’s degree in and engineering discipline, business, or supply chain
• 10+ years of experience in one of the following: supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, design engineering
• Proven track record of taking ownership of projects, negotiating successfully to reduce costs, and influencing engineering customers to drive results
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods (design of experiments, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) principles and applications
• Knowledge of metrology tools and techniques for measuring and characterizing mechanical parts
• Knowledge of lean, production, and supply chain concepts
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
