Job Summary
Lead and coordinate construction planning and site management activities to ensure timely project delivery, cost control, quality, and safety compliance while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and resolving technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare master construction programs and catch-up schedules to ensure project timelines are met
- Plan site access and coordinate tower crane erection and dismantling during various work stages
- Resolve drawing discrepancies before work commencement by collaborating with technical teams and consultants
- Develop and monitor preliminaries, budgeting, and cost reports to control project expenditures
- Manage subcontractors and plan work progress for all site activities to maintain workflow efficiency
- Forecast and control equipment, material, and manpower requirements to optimize resource usage and minimize wastage
- Communicate project progress effectively with clients, architects, and engineers through regular meetings
- Oversee quality control and enforce health and safety standards on site to ensure compliance
- Identify schedule-impacting problems on site and recommend actionable solutions to relevant teams
- Maintain positive relationships and liaise with stakeholders including consultants, clients, and subcontractors
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety practices to promote a safe working environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Project for construction scheduling and tracking
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and end-to-end processes
- Skilled in preparing method statements for construction activities
- Experienced in planning site access and site setup
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to resolve site issues
- Effective interpersonal, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
