The (in-house) Surveyor is required to examine accident-damaged vehicles within defined service standards.

He/She will be manually conducting the physical inspection of third-party vehicle(s) at third-party workshop; he/she will also be expected to perform the following during survey, re-inspection or site survey:

• Physically examine accident vehicle, inspect damaged spare part items listed in the estimate quotation.
• Take photographs of accident damaged vehicle, spare parts, supplementary  parts, hidden spare parts, before and after repair.
• Conduct physical re-inspection of accident vehicle for supplementary parts and hidden damages part items not listed in the estimate quotation.
• Conduct re-inspection of vehicle before and after spray painting.
• Conduct accident site inspection and taking measurement of accident site, if necessary.
• Negotiate and reduce the cost of repair submitted by third party workshops when conducting physical inspection and re-inspection.
• Conduct physical re-inspection of third party vehicle due to  dispute of repair costs.
• Coordinate and updating market changes.
• To generate survey report after finalization with third party workshop.
• To provide estimate or estimated third party repair costs for initial reserving.
• To ensure motor repair estimation is received from third party workshops in accordance with the survey report.
• Provide market value of damaged salvage vehicles.
• Maintain close coordination with the motor claims teams.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Sound knowledge of various motor vehicles, their market values, various repair procedures and costs, claim  procedures, etc.                                                                                                                                           

Experience

• 3-5 years experience in motor survey.

Education

Diploma or Certificate related to motor vehicles

• Supervise all Preventive & Corrective Maintenance.
• Plan & manage all vehicle input & output.

• Support recovery (in / out premise).
• Attend meetings with OIC.
• Monitor all spares required.
• Oversee the work of Automotive Technical Officers (ATOs) and work closely with Service Advisors.
• Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide guidance and feedback to the team members.
• Ensure that all services are performed at a high standard and in compliance with the industry regulations and safety standards.
• Provide training and development opportunities for ATOs and other team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of service equipment and tools, to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Address operational challenges and resolving issues as they arise.

Job Purpose

To manage motor insurance claims efficiently by guiding claimants, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring optimal claims recovery and defense to minimize company losses.

Responsibilities

• Manage accident reporting and explain claims process to customers, e.g. Bus Captain, Taxi/Private Hire Vehicle Hirer, Relief driver, etc.
• Exercise good claims management to achieve KPI target for claims result.
• Being part of the team, to ensure company’s losses are recovered from third party or to defend the claims from claimants arising for road accident.
• Arrange with workshop or relevant parties to liaise with third party insurers/workshops, solicitors, passengers on behalf of SMRT Buses / Strides Premier Fleet of Vehicles.
• Coordinating and liaising with the relevant departments in SMRT Buses / Strides Premier Fleet of vehicles or its other associates and agents in the pursuit of any claim.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in General Insurance.
• Minimum with 2 years’ experience in processing Motor insurance claims.

The Workshop Manager will serve as a team leader in an airbase. He/She will oversee and optimize the entire service line to ensure the efficient and high-quality delivery of repair and maintenance services.

Main Roles & Responsbilities

- Lead the Workshop team to fulfil Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

- Monitor training currency for all staff (Work with Trainer)

- Manage the monthly KPI

- Liaise with customer for any O&A job

- Manage monthly costing

The Senior / Service Advisor, Claims is responsible for managing and administering motor insurance claims efficiently and professionally, ensuring timely resolution, cost control, and a high standard of customer service while complying with internal policies and authority limits.

Responsibilities

Claims Management

• Analyse, process, and manage motor insurance claims within established turnaround times.
• Evaluate claim validity, assess liability, and determine appropriate reserving and settlement strategies.
• Negotiate proactively to resolve claims amicably while mitigating financial exposure and achieving cost-effective outcomes.
• Obtain reserving, settlement, and payment authority in accordance with approved authority limits.
• Conduct regular claims file reviews and reserve monitoring to ensure accuracy and adequacy.
• Exercise sound claims judgement and practices to achieve targeted claims performance results.

Dispute Resolution

• Handle and resolve claims settlement disputes using appropriate mechanisms, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration where applicable.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Manage and maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with customers, taxi partners, drivers, insurers, and external stakeholders on claims-related matters.
• Explain claims procedures, accident reporting requirements, policy coverage, excess implications (including late reporting excess), and settlement processes to customers and taxi drivers.

Operational Support

• Create and process accident reports statement and sketch submission for Taxi, SPRAC, SPPH&L, and external customers via systems.
• Create eBao records for Income Accident reporting cases in accordance with operational guidelines.
• Coordinate replacement taxi arrangements following accidents where required.
• Review and analyse video footage and other supporting evidence to assist in accident assessment and claims decisions.
• Perform claims administration duties in alignment with assigned system access and data protection requirements.

Compliance & Governance
