This role plays a vital role in helping coaches manage the flow of classes — guiding students between activities, escorting them to the toilet when needed, and stepping in to support with any issues that arise. You’ll be the friendly face ensuring students feel cared for, confident, and ready to enjoy every moment of their time in the gym.

No prior gymnastics experience is required — only a genuine passion for working with children, a positive attitude, and the ability to keep things running smoothly on the floor

Responsibilities

Student Supervision

• Monitor students on the gym floor to ensure safety and discipline.
• Escort students to the toilet or other designated areas when required.

Coach Support

• Assist coaches in managing class flow and transitions between activities.
• Provide immediate support for any student issues or concerns during sessions.

Movement Facilitation

• Help organize and guide students during warm-ups, drills, and rotations.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow within the gym to avoid congestion or confusion.

Safety & Well-being

• Respond promptly to minor incidents or needs, escalating to coaches and bacak office when necessary.
• Maintain awareness of gym safety rules and reinforce them with students.

Operational Assistance

• Support setup and tidying of equipment before, during, and after classes.
• Communicate effectively with coaches and staff to ensure seamless class delivery

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children or in a fitness/education environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive in a dynamic environment.
• Physically active and able to move quickly around the gym floor.
• Part-time or full-time depending on class schedules.

• Support sales conversations naturally through product knowledge and connection.

Operations

• Manage check-in/check-out efficiently and ensure child safety.

• Keep reception areas tidy, welcoming and child-friendly.

• Update attendance, parent preferences and administrative records accurately.

• Support registration for camps, workshops and competitions.

• Uphold confidentiality, safety and data protection standards.

• Collaborate closely with coaches, Floor Coordinators and the Customer Experience Manager.

• Participate in service and product trainings.

About You

Mokara is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Competitive Gymnastics Coach who is passionate about helping young athletes grow through disciplined training, positive coaching, and a healthy love of sport. This role is ideal for a coach who brings strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the emotional intelligence to develop athletes with confidence, resilience, and strong fundamentals. This is a full-time position. Coaches should be available for weekday evenings and weekends, including competitions and occasional program events.

Responsibilities

• Lead competitive training sessions for assigned groups and levels, aligned with Mokara’s core values, technical standards, training systems, and seasonal goals.
• Teach strong fundamentals and progressions across events (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, Trampoline, Artistry) with an emphasis on safe development, consistency, and quality of execution.
• Create a positive, structured training environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and motivated.
• Provide clear corrections and measurable goals for athletes, using detail-oriented coaching and consistent standards.
• Support routine construction and competitive readiness, including preparation for evaluations, mock meets, and competitions.
• Maintain athlete wellbeing as a priority which includes balancing performance goals with sustainable development and appropriate training loads.
• Where applicable, contribute to season planning and athlete pacing (training focus, readiness timelines, and meet preparation).

Safety & gym standards

Maintain a safe training environment through proper equipment use, risk-aware progressions, and strong supervision.

• Spotting is not required, but preferred; coaches must be willing to learn and improve spotting skills over time.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, professional gym environment and uphold safety protocols consistently.
• Support athlete health best practices where appropriate (good warm-ups, smart progressions, basics-first philosophy, injury-awareness).

Collaborate & contribute

• Work closely with the coaching team to align athletes’ plans, expectations, and event progressions.
• Participate in team meetings, training discussions, and collaborative problem-solving to support the needs of the full program.
• Contribute to a culture of professionalism, humility, and shared standards across all coaches and squads.
• Engage in ongoing professional development (mentorship, shared video review, internal workshops, and coaching education opportunities).

Mokara is looking for a dedicated, versatile, and team-oriented Competitive Gymnastics Coach + Recreational Gymnastics Manager to support both the growth of our competitive athletes and the development of our recreational programme.

This is a hybrid leadership role for someone who is passionate about coaching, teaching, and building strong systems. The ideal candidate brings sound gymnastics knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to develop both athletes and coaches with clarity, consistency, and care.

On the competitive side, this coach will help guide athletes through disciplined training, strong fundamentals, and positive, detail-oriented coaching. On the recreational side, this leader will help shape the structure and quality of the programme by organizing camps and events, supporting staff education, and working closely with the Recreational Programme Director to strengthen lesson planning and coach

The role will report into the Competitive Programme Manager and the Recreation Programme Manager.

Role Responsibilities

Lead competitive training sessions for assigned groups and levels in alignment with Mokara’s values, technical standards, training systems, and seasonal goals.

Teach strong fundamentals and progressions across events, with an emphasis on safe development, quality of execution, consistency, and long-term athlete growth.

Contribute to athlete planning and pacing where appropriate, including readiness timelines, event focus, and meet preparation.

Create, organize, and manage recreational camps, clinics, special events, and holiday programmes in collaboration with programme leadership.

Help ensure recreational events are well-structured, well-staffed, engaging, and aligned with Mokara’s standards and culture.

Support operational planning for camps and events, including scheduling, staffing support, logistics, and programme flow.

Work closely with the Recreational Programme Director to strengthen the structure, consistency, and quality of the recreational programme.

Assist in the creation, refinement, and implementation of lesson plans for recreational classes across levels.

Help maintain clear standards for class objectives, coach expectations, athlete progressions, and teaching quality across the recreational programme.

Lead classroom-based training for new employees, including staff with little or no prior gymnastics experience.

Create a structured and documented set of materials for all classroom-based learnings that can be used by any experienced gymnastics coach to coach new coaches.

Teach foundational concepts such as class structure, athlete supervision, safety expectations, basic gymnastics terminology, equipment usage, and introductory skill progressions.

Support the onboarding and development of new coaches so they can confidently and professionally teach within Mokara’s system.

Provide ongoing classroom training and education for coaches seeking to progress to higher teaching levels.

Help beginner coaches learn how to teach more advanced recreational levels through structured education, progressions, observation, and guided development.

Contribute to a culture of professional growth by helping coaches improve communication, technical understanding, class management, and teaching confidence.

Work with programme leadership to identify development pathways for staff and support continuous improvement across the coaching team.

Requirements

Prior experience coaching gymnastics required; competitive coaching experience strongly preferred.

Experience in staff training, coach development, camp coordination, or programme management is strongly preferred.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities across both competitive and recreational programming.

Genuine enjoyment of working with children and helping them grow both athletically and personally.

Strong attention to detail in teaching technique, execution quality, safety standards, and class structure.

Ability to communicate professionally in English, both spoken and written.
