Job Description & Responsibilities

The Senior Technical Designer plays a key role in supporting the technical team and ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of technical design outputs across all projects.

The role involves developing approved design concepts into detailed technical drawings, working closely with CAD designers, the internal design team, and external consultants to ensure compliance with client requirements and local regulations.

What you'll be doing

1. Technical Drafting & Documentation

• Prepare and review detailed design drawings and technical documentation using CAD software
• Ensure all drawings comply with internal standards, project specifications, and local building codes and regulations
• Maintain and improve technical templates and documentation standards across projects

2. Project Coordination

• Collaborate with the design team to translate conceptual designs into accurate technical drawings
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
• Support site coordination and provide technical clarifications to ensure design intent is achieved

3. Technical Expertise (Residential & Hospitality)

• Apply strong expertise in high-end residential and hospitality detailing
• Resolve complex technical and construction detailing challenges while maintaining design integrity
• Propose practical, buildable, and cost-efficient technical solutions

4. Quality Assurance

• Review technical drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Support continuous improvement of drafting workflows and technical processes

What we're looking For:

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in technical design/ drafting
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing and materials
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or Revit
• Good understanding of local building codes and regulations
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documentation for corporate retail and interior fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements
• Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify all necessary materials, labour, and equipment
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to gather and validate cost information
• Conduct site measurement, when required
• Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and provide recommendations to optimise project budgets
• Participate in project planning and review meetings to provide estimation expertise
• Assist in preparing variation order and progress claims
• Assist in finalising project accounts
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical records to enhance future estimating efforts

What we're looking For:

• Diploma/Degree holder in Quantity Survey, Contracts Management or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a construction or interior fit-out estimation role
• Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, and equipment costs, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve estimation discrepancies
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Proficient in the use of estimation software and Microsoft Office suite

What you do

• Establish and develop professional relationships with prospects, focusing on generating new business opportunities
• Proactively identify potential clients and initiate follow-up actions to close sales within assigned operational segments
• Analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform strategic sales approaches
• Prepare and deliver customized presentations and sales quotations aligned with client requirements to support successful deal closure
• Coordinate with factory teams to monitor site progress and ensure timely delivery of products and services
• Manage tender processes including submission preparation and participation in tender interviews to secure contracts
• Execute additional ad-hoc duties as assigned to support business objectives

What we are looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Building or related fields to support technical understanding of client needs
• Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the building and construction sector, preferably with exposure to Furniture and Fittings
• Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license to facilitate client visits and site coordination
• Demonstrated self-drive, focus, and goal orientation to achieve sales targets
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills to articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively
• Robust organizational and planning skills to manage multiple client engagements and tender deadlines

What you do

• Lead on-site project management activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within scope
• Communicate effectively with contractors to define work scope, monitor progress, and adjust work schedules as needed
• Develop detailed quotations and job schedules to support project planning and execution
• Prepare and manage project budgets and billing processes to maintain financial control
• Coordinate tasks between internal teams and contractors to facilitate seamless project workflows
• Implement quality control measures and oversee contractor rectifications to meet established standards
• Monitor daily work progress and resolve issues proactively to maintain project momentum
• Verify on-site dimensions against design drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate closely with sales teams, clients, and suppliers to address project-related concerns and ensure stakeholder alignment
