IFS Japan is seeking for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Senior Aerospace & Defense Application Consultant.  You will be at the forefront of IFS product implementations working directly with IFS customers and partners on cutting edge industry solutions in the Aerospace & Defense sector. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work with geographically distributed teams around the globe which will provide you with international exposure through project implementation and commercial execution.

The Solution Architect (Consulting) is responsible for leading the overall business value and delivering an IFS solution fit for the customer. Key to this is gaining buy-in from both the Customer and the IFS teams. The Solution Architect enjoys the challenge of creating and communicating well thought through practical solutions that form the basis for successful implementations/transformations and ultimately lead to highly referenceable customers.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Apply knowledge and experience in complex, multi-phase projects
• Take the lead in delivering the IFS solution, maintain clear communication on all aspects of the solution with the customer project and management team.
• Work closely with the IFS Project Manager to ensure the risks from complex  requirements are minimized.
• Coordinate and delegate work within the delivery team
• Work with partners and system integrators in ensuring the IFS experience is consistent regardless of the delivery mechanism.
• Advise on the successful application of IFS Accelerators.
• Focus on ensuring delivery of value to the customer.

We are looking for a hungry, focused and resilient farmer sales person with great collaboration and sales execution skills to help grow the business across the market unit. 

The Account Executive will be selling into a focused list of strategic target accounts, you will be entrepreneurial in nature and excel at building pipeline, creating and closing opportunities. By using a consultative approach to value-based selling, you will lead with IFS's award winning products while also having access to the broader portfolio to bring value to our customers. You will use your industry knowledge and enterprise software sales expertise to identify and qualify deals, leading to sales opportunities with our existing customer base. 

The role is positioned within a high-growth market unit. This is an organisation going through transformational growth (organic and inorganic).  We are an ever-evolving business, challenging and disrupting the industry standards which are too often accepted by some of our competitors in the global enterprise software space.

Our go-to-market strategy is focused on geographical and key industry verticals within a matrixed sales organization. 

Responsibilities

• Strong sales execution and continued sharpening of these skills
• Prepare, update, own and execute the Go -To- Market Strategy for nominated industries
• Prepare, own, and maintain Territory Plan for agreed vertical
• Prepare Account Plan including deal action cards, mutual evaluation plans, and power maps for named accounts
• Own the end-to-end sales process including demand generation, understating customer needs, agreeing a mutual evaluation process, owning the RFI/RFP process, building a business case for change and winning business, and utilising resources within a matrix organization to get the job done.
• Work with partners to better penetrate into your accounts, creating joint sales plays that accelerate deal cycles and maximize value while providing strong delivery plans that lead to happy referenceable customers
• 100% responsibility for owning the annual sales targets and delivering as per the quarterly budget
• Continued pipeline building and demand generation activities to achieve 4x pipeline coverage
• Liaison with Sales leadership and Global teams to build a strong internal network and collaboration
• Manage and maintain complete CRM and Account hygiene, at all times, along with sales cadence, administration and reporting to ensure accurate forecasting

Own the end‑to‑end service readiness of new and evolving IFS products/services via the Go‑To‑Operations (GTO) framework and lead global rollouts across the supported customer base. Drive cross‑functional planning, change governance, enablement, and measurable service quality ensuring Minimum Acceptance Criteria (MAC), risk controls, and customer impact safeguards are met. Translate insights from CSAT/VoC, SLA/KPI audits, and operational telemetry into prioritized improvements that raise reliability and reduce operational overhead.

Global Rollouts

• Coordinate and liaise with stakeholders across the IFS Unified Support Service Operations organization to plan and execute recurring and ad‑hoc maintenance activities for supported customers.
• Coordinate and support planning for product and service upgrades, migrations, and rollout activities across the customer base.

Service Readiness – Go To Operation (GTO)

• Coordinate and guide support staff to participate in testing and validation activities for new, major, and minor releases issued by the IFS R&D organization.
• Manage team participation in knowledge transfer (KT) sessions and readiness programs for new products and services.

Quality Monitoring & Auditing

• Perform regular audits of support cases to assess adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and established service quality standards.
• Evaluate key service quality attributes such as empathy, professionalism, follow‑up, and resolution practices and identify improvement opportunities.
• Review interactions and documentation, generate quality insights, and report trends that impact customer satisfaction and overall service excellence.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, analyze, and interpret customer feedback, CSAT scores, smiley cases, and other quality-related data to provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to communicate quality performance metrics to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data teams to enhance analytical methods and ensure accuracy and consistency of quality monitoring datasets.

Process Improvement

• Work with process owners and support teams to identify workflow optimization opportunities and eliminate operational inefficiencies.
• Facilitate root‑cause analysis (RCA) on recurring service issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead continual service improvement (CSI) initiatives, including drills, scenario-based training, and role‑play exercises (e.g., Incident Management Drills) to elevate service maturity.

Training & Development

• Design and develop training modules, quality guidelines, and role‑play scenarios that highlight best practices in customer engagement and case resolution.
• Deliver onboarding and ongoing training sessions to enhance process adherence and service consistency across the support organization.
• Work collaboratively with Unified Support – Training and Quality Experience team to continuously refine training content based on evolving customer and operational needs.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Maintain and continuously update process documentation, quality standards, and training materials to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.
• Develop, manage, and enhance Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), Runbooks and case handling scenarios specific to managed customer base to support knowledge-sharing and ensure uniformity in service delivery and localization as and when required.

A Software Engineer - Unified Support is responsible for analyzing and diagnosing suspected software faults or technical configuration issues within IFS’ suite of products. They are also responsible for developing quality assured enterprise grade resolutions where applicable. They possess thorough technical and functional knowledge of the   

relevant product areas.   

In addition, they combine software engineering skills with functional knowledge and a commercial mindset to provide efficient resolutions that are usable, maintainable, and secure.  

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for core activities including; 

• Utilize industry knowledge and cross-product expertise to provide tailored solutions and enhance problem-solving.   

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions, while maintaining a knowledge of IFS Cloud architecture and its alignment with industry standards.
