Job Summary

Assist in managing comprehensive financial operations and reporting for the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting strategic decision-making. Lead finance teams and optimize processes to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including monthly and quarterly variance analysis, cash flow projections, and annual budgets
• Provide timely financial information and analysis to support organizational decision-making
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with group accounting policies, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Manage month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls
• Monitor and manage financial aspects of construction projects including job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and work-in-progress reporting
• Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets and cost control measures to maintain financial guidelines
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations including preparation and submission of GST and statutory filings
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team by providing training, guidance, and performance support
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in finance operations
• Prepare and analyze management reports for the group and its entities
• Manage daily banking operations to ensure smooth financial transactions
• Liaise with bankers on financing, treasury, and risk management matters
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for management as required
• Collaborate with departments to gather and analyze data for project costs, revenue, and balance sheet accounts
• Ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor reconciliations, and payments
• Provide financial and operational support to the finance team and subsidiaries
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders as needed
• Execute special projects and management requests as assigned

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• Experience handling full set of accounts
• At least 3 years’ experience in construction or real estate industry is a plus
• Familiarity with Accpac Accounting software preferred
• Strong attention to detail with ability to work independently and organize tasks effectively
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Effective team player with initiative and resourcefulness
• Good communication skills

Job Scopes:

• Project Accounting: Monitor and manage financial aspects of construction projects, including job costing, budgeting and forecasting. Track project expenses, revenue recognition, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.
• Cost Control & Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, cost control measures, and variance analysis to ensure projects remain on budget and within financial guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of GST and other statutory filings.

Requirements:

· Regularly monitor and maintain hardware, software, networks, and servers to ensure optimal performance and security;

· Implement security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard against cyber threats;

· Stay updated on the latest security patches and updates for all systems and applications;

· Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting system and network issues;

· Diagnose problems, provide technical support, and resolve hardware or software faults promptly to minimize downtime;

· Configure and maintain virtual private networks (VPNs) and virtual LANs (VLANs) to facilitate secure remote access and network segmentation;

· Conduct thorough research to identify software solutions that align with the company's requirements and objectives;

· Develop comprehensive IT policies and guidelines covering areas such as security protocols, equipment procurement, and replacement procedures;

· Set up and implement backup plans and business continuity plans for system applications and stored information;

· Conduct scheduled maintenance checks on equipment to avoid any undetected faults and unauthorized installations by any staff;

· Maintain proper documentation of licenses, hardware and software inventories and ensure that records are up to date and properly presented;

· Undertake any other IT related assignment that may be given by the manager and/or his/her designate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum Degree in Information Technology;

· 1-2 years related experience;

· Familiarity with Server administration and switches configuration;

· Basic understanding of cyber-security;

· Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues;

· Ability to support PCs/Printers/Projectors/IT Peripherals Setup and Maintenance;

· Good interpersonal skills and a team player;

· Strong communication skills with all team members;

· Attention to detail and focus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee all administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations
• Provide administrative support to all departments
• Obtain quotations for vehicle insurance and facilitate renewal of road tax, insurance bonds (for QC application) and other insurances related to projects
• Assist in organizing internal festive celebrations and office events
• Take minutes for meetings held by the admin department
• Assist the HR department with human resources tasks
• Assist in basic IT matters
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of office administration experience.
