In this position:
- You shall report to the Director of the Company. You shall undertake the duties and responsibility of your position or such other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Company.
- In the discharge of your duties and responsibilities, you shall observe and comply with all regulations and directions from time to time made by the Company or given to you and shall endeavour to further the business and interests of the Company.
The responsibilities for the Sales Manager at Galiena Pte. Ltd. are as follows:
Business Development
- Develop the B2B and B2C sales channel as a primary focus.
- Acquire new clients with a focus on restaurants, bars, hotels, catering companies, and event organizers.
- Define and implement the overall sales strategy across all channels, including on-trade, off-trade, private clients, and digital platforms.
- Lead, manage, and oversee the performance and development of the sales team.
- Maintain and grow key client accounts and long-term business relationships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive consistent revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on sales goals and execution.
- Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and provide accurate revenue forecasts.
- Represent the Company at trade fairs, tastings, wine events, and client meetings as needed.
- Develop new corporate client partnerships through collaborations with private banks, luxury brands, embassies, art galleries, concierge services, and event companies.
- Host wine tastings for key partners, including Michelin-starred restaurants and premium retail outlets.
- Co-organize and lead wine dinners and activations throughout the calendar year.
- Manage strategic event partnerships.
- Represent the Company at major international wine exhibitions.
Requirement:
- WSET Level 3 minimum, with solid knowledge of French wine regions; depth in Burgundy, Champagne, Loire, or Rhône is a strong advantage
- Proven sales skills with a client-facing, service-oriented approach
- Strong written and verbal communication in English; French is a significant plus
- Data-driven and organised, with proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, or equivalent tools; ERP/CRM experience is a plus
- Stays informed on imported wine market trends and the competitive landscape
- Autonomous and proactive; you take ownership, pay attention to detail, and drive things forward without waiting to be asked
- A team player with a positive, open mindset and the composure to stay focused and responsible under pressure
