Role Overview

This strategic sales position requires an in-depth knowledge of how technology is used to enable business goals. It requires strategic thinking coupled with tactical execution of identified business opportunities. You will be responsible for managing all facets of the relationship with key accounts while ensuring revenue goals are being met. Developing opportunities across the F5 solution portfolio while effectively selling solutions and services using technical and customer knowledge to influence and build relationships, while working closely with Systems Integrators, large Service Providers and regional VARs. This is an individual contributor and quota carrying role.

What You’ll Do

• Primary point-of-contact for account/(s) and maintains contact with account at a high, executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.
• Sell the organization’s products or services to and maintains relationships with existing national named accounts.
• Responsible for rapidly growing and retaining named accounts.
• Responsible for identifying and qualifying long-term and short-term business opportunities and pro-actively identifying and addressing competitive threats.
• Prepare formal proposals and presentations, presents to all levels of the organization including executives, leads negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making processes and overcomes objectives to closure, and closes sales in a professional and effective manner.
• Responsible for significant key partner relationship management and development. Facilitate executive-level relationships between the customer, F5 and its partners including; facilitating communication on strategic and tactical issues and maintaining continuity.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technical developments and government regulations that effect target markets.
• Understand organization’s business needs, develop application of products and services and communicate how F5’s solutions will address those needs.
• Determine market strategies and goals for each product and service; understanding the strategies, goals and objectives of named accounts.
• Assume a leadership role in coordinating territory strategy and tactics for sales support team (inside sales, systems engineering, channel manager)
• Assume full responsibility for accurate sales forecasting by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of sales cycles from initial contact through the procurement process and ensure Salesforce is utilized appropriately and maintained on a regular basis.
• Develop and maintain detailed account profiles including organizational charts for all accounts to be reviewed by management on a quarterly basis.
• Develop strategy for sustained management and success of business and coordinates resources to ensure goals are met.
• Partner with internal and external teams and channels to develop creative technical solutions to improve F5´s footprint and Customer dependent in account.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of direct sales work experience in BFSI accounts.
• BA/BS degree preferred
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with proven ability in solution selling and presentation abilities.
• Advanced client interfacing and customer-focused approach.
• Demonstrated selling skills in a complex matrix environment.
• Demonstrates effective use of internal relationships and resources.
• Strong ability to effectively prioritize workload, develop and lead pipeline and forecasting.

The Enterprise Account Executive, AI Security: Financial Services is responsible for winning new logo and expansion business with Tier‑1 and Tier‑2 financial institutions, selling complex AI security deals, sitting at the intersection of securing AI inference, agentic systems, and enterprise LLM deployments.

Working with F5’s AI Runtime Security portfolio (formerly CalypsoAI), you will earn credibility with senior security, risk, and data stakeholders at the world's largest banks, insurers, and payment providers. The role is quota‑carrying, hunter‑oriented, and focused on multi‑stakeholder, multi‑year deals across banking, insurance, payments, capital markets and fintech.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting, discovery and business case development through evaluation, negotiation and close within named financial services accounts.
• Build and execute territory and account plans targeting CIO, CISO, CRO, CDO, Heads of Fraud/Risk, Compliance and AI/Innovation leaders.
• Drive new logo acquisition with a clear hunter mindset, building a self‑generated pipeline through outbound, events, partners and executive networking.
• Lead complex sales cycles involving security, AI, data and risk stakeholders, aligning technical capabilities with regulatory, risk and business‑value outcomes.
• Run structured discovery to uncover AI security, fraud, data privacy and regulatory pain points and translate them into compelling solution proposals and ROI/TCO cases.
• Orchestrate internal resources (sales engineering, product, legal, compliance, customer success, professional services) to shape winning solution architectures and proposals.
• Navigate financial‑services procurement, vendor risk assessments, security reviews and legal negotiations to reach successful commercial close.
• Accurately forecast pipeline, manage opportunities in CRM and report on progress against quota and key activity metrics.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the AI security, cybersecurity and financial‑services regulatory landscape (e.g. AI risk, data protection, fraud, resilience).
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences and executive briefings, acting as a credible thought partner on AI security in financial services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Professional certifications in cybersecurity, cloud or AI (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, cloud provider security certs, AI/ML programs) are a plus
• 8+ years of B2B enterprise SaaS sales with at least 5+ years selling into financial services (banking, insurance, payments, capital markets or fintech)
• Proven hunter background with a consistent record of net‑new logo acquisition and over‑achievement against >1M ARR or equivalent annual quota
• Demonstrated success running and closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals with six‑ and seven‑figure ACVs and multi‑quarter sales
• Strong cybersecurity and/or AI experience: selling security, fraud, identity, data protection, or AI/ML/LLM‑based platforms into security, risk, data and engineering buyers
• Deep familiarity with financial‑services risk and regulatory themes (fraud, AML/KYC, operational resilience, data privacy, AI risk, model governance)
• Hands‑on experience selling to CISOs, CIOs, CROs, CDOs and adjacent senior stakeholders in large financial institutions
• Track record in early‑stage or high‑growth environments, comfortable building territory, process and pipeline with limited resources

CalypsoAI, acquired by F5, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive / Product Specialist to support its mission of enabling enterprises to securely and responsibly adopt Generative AI. As part of F5, CalypsoAI is a foundational component of F5’s AI security strategy, helping global organizations deploy LLMs and AI-powered applications with confidence. 

In this role, you will act as a subject-matter expert and product specialist for CalypsoAI’s AI security platform, working alongside F5 enterprise sales teams to drive adoption across strategic and global accounts. You will engage senior stakeholders across security, risk, and technology functions, clearly articulating how CalypsoAI delivers trustworthy AI at enterprise scale. 

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in enterprise software sales, excels in complex, consultative deal cycles, and has a meaningful understanding of cybersecurity and enterprise security buying motions.

• Engage C-level and senior stakeholders (CISO, CIO, CTO, AI/ML leaders, Risk & Compliance) 
• Translate CalypsoAI’s technical capabilities into compelling business, security, and risk outcomes 
• Lead tailored product demonstrations, executive presentations, and proof-of-value engagements 
• Convert inbound enterprise demand into closed new business

What You Bring 

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, ideally in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or AI-related solutions 
• Background in cybersecurity or selling security solutions is a strong advantage, particularly experience engaging with CISOs, security architects, and risk teams 
• Proven success selling complex, high-value solutions into large enterprise environments 
• Experience operating as a product-focused seller or overlay specialist in partnership with core account teams 
• Strong experience engaging senior decision-makers within large, matrixed organizations 
• Solid grounding in qualification and value-based selling methodologies (MEDDIC, Command of the Message preferred) 
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments while navigating enterprise-scale processes 
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, and modern enterprise sales technology stacks 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive audiences

• Prior startup, scale-up, or post-acquisition integration experience is a plus
