What You'll Do

The Strategy, Planning and Operations Leader for APJC Systems Engineering is a critical role that supports the extended Systems Engineering organization across the region.  You will be working closely with the APJC Systems Engineering leadership team to identify ways to drive growth across Cisco’s technology portfolio from both a strategic and programmatic perspective.  We are looking for an innovative thinker who can bring together various teams, approaches, and activities into a cohesive strategy.  If you are ready to be part of entrepreneurial culture focused on accountability for all aspects of the vision, strategy, and execution, and have passion in technology, then this role is for you. 

You will also lead and develop a small Strategy & Planning team to define the APJC Systems Engineering strategic priorities, execute on programs, track performance, and drive operational excellence.

You will play a critical role to run and transform the business, including:

• Development of APJC Systems Engineering strategic priorities and systems engineering evolution, both short and long-term
• Create and execute on strategies and programs to drive overall portfolio penetration and accelerate team growth and alignment
• Manage the business with analytics, providing insights to identify growth opportunities to increase broad-based growth across our teams, portfolio and accounts
• Lead operational excellence in team and technology performance measurement and governance
• Own and drive key business processes such as long-range planning, annual plans, new-year readiness, quarterly business overviews, monthly and weekly operating cadences
• Planning and execution of an integrated field enablement program (Professional and Sales Skills) for the APJC Systems Engineering organization that aligns to the business priorities
• Partner with APJC theaters and functions to ensure alignment of Systems Engineering resources and technology initiatives
• Collaborate with Global Systems Engineering SPO teams to drive alignment and synergies
• Work closely with Finance, P&C, and other teams to ensure accountability and agility in execution

Who You'll Work With

You will be a senior leader in the APJC Strategy Planning & Operations function, an amazing team of 140 professionals in the region responsible for identifying growth opportunities, prioritizing investments/divestments, innovating go-to-market, realizing operational efficiencies, and bringing AI to modernize sales operations.  In addition, you will work day-to-day with the Systems Engineering leadership to support APJC Systems Engineering activities and drive technology growth.  You will also be working with the Global Systems Engineering strategy and planning team to align on priorities and help drive execution.

• 10+ years in technology industry in a strategy & operations role or in a senior role in management consulting in the technology space.
• MBA from a top school is preferred
• Management Consulting experience from a top strategy consultancy is preferred
• Industry experience in technology, particularly in SaaS and Cloud, is preferred
• Experience in driving large regional cross-functional programs, from design to execution
• Strategic and innovative with an external awareness to adapt to market transitions and understand the nuances of selling complex solutions.
• Excellent leadership, management, strategic influencing, creative thinking, conflict resolution and team building skills.
• Strong collaboration skills, with amazing track record of leading and working with cross functional teams.

Role Overview

As a Partner Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving Splunk revenue growth and expanding Cisco’s footprint across the Asia Pacific, Japan, and China (APJC) region by working closely with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Global System Integrators (GSIs), System Integrators (SIs), and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). You will collaborate across Cisco and Splunks partner ecosystem and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that accelerate business growth, win new logos, and expand existing customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic go-to-market (GTM) plans with MSPs, GSIs, SIs, and MSSPs across the APJC region to drive incremental revenue and market share growth.
• Build and maintain trusted, influential relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, including executive, sales, technical, and services teams.
• Collaborate closely with Cisco internal sales, technical sales, and partner teams to align strategies and maximize partner-led opportunities.
• Own quota attainment by driving partner-led pipeline, forecasting, and reporting using Salesforce and other Cisco tools.
• Identify and develop new route-to-market opportunities with managed service partners.
• Lead enablement initiatives and co-marketing programs with partners to accelerate adoption and sales effectiveness.
• Stay informed on competitive landscape, market trends, and Cisco’s evolving portfolio to position solutions effectively.
• Represent Cisco and partners at industry events, sales meetings, and trade shows.
• Manage contract negotiations and prepare business reviews for senior management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years of business development or strategic account sales experience within enterprise software or technology services.
• Knowledge and a strong understanding of cyber security, with experience work in similar roles at other security ISVs and/or cyber security services companies
• Understanding of managed services business model
• Proven track record of managing and growing complex partner relationships, preferably with MSPs, GSIs, SIs, and/or MSSPs.
• Experience leading go-to-market strategies and execution across multiple countries in Asia
• Strong understanding of cyber security and managed security services.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with high accountability in a key objective and quota-carrying role.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally within a large organization to align partner and sales strategies.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and partner management tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in security software sales or observability solutions is a plus.
• Ability to coach and enable partner sales teams to generate net-new opportunities.
• Skilled in building scalable partner management systems and processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
• Existing relationships with cyber sales and practice leaders in GSIs and MSPs
• Fluent in English and Mandarin preferable

The Silicon One Productization team pioneers manufacturing and test solutions to accelerate time-to-market and enable outstanding supply chain metrics. Our team collaborates closely with ASIC design and Supply Chain Operations groups to influence Cisco’s Silicon One productization strategy. We are a dynamic group focused on innovation, quality, and operational excellence, fostering a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The team is composed of experienced engineers passionate about solving sophisticated hardware and software challenges in advanced networking silicon.

Your Impact

Manage volume test operations at OSATs to meet production targets and ensure alignment with Cisco product ramp plans. Develop and transfer ATE and SLT test programs from Cisco labs to production environments, acting as the first responder to hardware and software production issues. Drive prompt resolution of test issues and collaborate with OSATs to meet throughput, yield, cycle time, and uptime metrics. Evaluate test vendors, recommend alternate site bring-ups, and lead qualification activities. Partner with Manufacturing Operations and Data and Automation Solutions teams to optimize production and perform statistical data analysis for yield improvement

Minimum Qualifications

• BSEE (or higher) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

• 5+ years working in ATE and SLT volume production test environments, preferably on high-end compute/networking devices.

• Ability to debug, analyze, tackle, and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes; Drive issues to closure with improvement, optimization, and preventive measures.

• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and technical analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies.

• Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages is a plus.

• Experience using Advantest 93000 tester and SLT Hontech or Chroma handler will be a plus.
