Job Duties

• Work on customer sites within semiconductor cleanroom environments.
• Provide software support for all Semiconductor customers in the Canon’s region.
• Troubleshoot software issues and prepare technical reports for customers.
• Set up and maintain lithography tools and related supporting software.
• Learn and apply fundamental knowledge of lithography tools and operations.
• Prepare software release notes and customer-facing documentation in English.
• Provide support during weekends, public holidays, or nighttime when required (infrequent but possible).
• Travel overseas for business, mainly within Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan, and India (future).
• Collaborate closely with on-site engineers and overseas Canon software engineers.
• Communicate directly with customers and deliver clear technical reports.
• Escalate software issues to Japan headquarters when necessary.
• Plan and conduct software training or knowledge-sharing sessions for engineers and team members.
• Act as a bridge between Japan headquarters and local engineers for software-related issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in software support for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in the Japanese language (reading, writing, and speaking); Japanese fluency as to support Japanese related customer and HQ
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux OS commands and operations.
• Experience with online specifications, including requirement clarification and specification negotiation with customers, is preferred.

LBP New Products Development Support

- Cooperate with Client and Canon Japan to achieve the development of new products on both engines and cartridges

- Investigation on problems relating Client testing and conduct measurements required for development

- Conducting rework engines or cartridges when needed

- Connect and report between Client and Canon Japan, relating schedule, concept and technical issues for each program

Current Products Quality Support

- Cooperate with Client and Canon Japan to confirm the status of quality issues and to solve

- Report status to Canon Japan on urgent issues

- Connect communications between Client and Canon Japan

Market survey for New Products Development

- Conduct market research when necessary

- Cooperate with other optimal sections of canon Sg internally or other Canon group companies for each case

- Report results to Canon Japan

Job Requirement

• Minimum 20 years working experience.
• Minimum 15 years printer related R&D experience.
• At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field is required.
• Possess good knowledge of R&D.
• Good project management skill.
• Strong organizational and leadership skill.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication in both English & Japanese as this role will need to liaise frequently with head office in Japan.

Job Details:

Logistics Coordination:

- Monitor picking and packing lines to ensure accurate order consolidation, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.

- Liaise with business units on shipment plans and order fulfilment to meet delivery schedules.

- Coordinate with appointed freight forwarders for vessel or flight bookings and verify BL/AWB details for compliance.

- Work with 3PL warehouses (PDM/PSO) on EDI processing, goods release, and export-related matters.

- Coordinate with business units and perform packing entries for 3PL vendor shipments.

Compliance & Documentation:

- Check orders to ensure they meet IATA and IMDA regulations.

- Download and process documents from the CINC paperless system for drop shipments.

- Handle Tradeweb and customs permit applications, including Form AJ and Form D (FTA).

- Prepare and maintain monthly reports and filing requirements.

Financial & Tracking Tasks:

- Perform AR posting and verify freight billings prior to payment submission.

- Monitor shipment status and escalate issues when necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of import/export or relevant shipping experience.

- Familiarity with international trade regulations and concepts.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Preferably certified in the Customs Competency Test for Declaration.

Provide field service support in either the operation or maintenance of the semiconductor lithography equipment in cleanroom.

Description

1) Install, configure, and test equipment or systems at customer sites.

2) Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.

4) Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting support.

5) Train clients and end-users on equipment operation and maintenance.

Requirement

Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 2 years job related experience

Knowledge and skills in the application of electrical engineering principles, processes and practices.

Knowledge in regulations, codes and safety practices associated with electrical systems

Knowledge of Office and engineering/technical related computer applications, databases and systems.

Comfortable to work 12 hour shift routine and on weekends
