Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Technical Guidance – Provide expert advice and technical support to the wider BWO organisation on Process Safety / Technical Safety activities in Asset Operations, Projects and Concept Development.
• Verification Activities – Ensure Asset Operations and Projects compliance with Technical Standards, Design Performance Standards and Operational Performance Standards. Support the internal verification process, performing process safety verification activities in coordination with the Verification / Continuous Improvement department.
• Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Process Safety. Conduct regular performance analysis to uncover weak signals and proactively identify areas of improvement.
• Support development and maintenance of BWO’s Technical Standards – These define the minimum requirements for Asset Operations and Projects within own discipline.
• Support Level 3 Incident Assessments, where required.
• Continually seek improvements in personal areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry, or closely related industry.
• Technical Safety experience in Projects is required, preferably within the FPSO industry.
• Operational expertise from both project and operations phases of offshore facilities, including experience in audit and verification activities is preferred.

· Participate in all phases of Projects from concept development, tender, bids, FEEDs, construction, commissioning, execution, modification to completion

· Participate in designing the FPSO, including:

> Contribute with input to philosophies, specifications and data sheets, etc.

> Help to ensure the design meets regulatory, class, client and corporate requirements

> Help to develop material take-off and cost input for Naval Architecture discipline

> Size up and give input to master Naval Architecture equipment list based on requirements by Process and other disciplines with guidance

> Provide technical specifications and follow-up suppliers with guidance

· Participate in Naval Architecture discipline activities and provide input to develop and maintain company engineering standards and best practices within the field

· Actively contribute to the development of relevant RFQ’s for module yards, integration yards, newbuild shipyards and equipment packages and prepare technical bid evaluations (input)

· Follow-up with design development, construction and testing activities

· Review vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements

· Proactively support and cooperate with all engineering disciplines to achieve optimal design results including relevant input and comments to other discipline deliveries with guidance

· Work closely with and actively support supply chain, estimation, planning and other project teams

· Provide technical clarifications towards clients, sub suppliers, class and yard with guidance

Support Technical Maintenance and Support team, Operation Managers and offshore units as and when required, including visiting Units in operation as needed for technical support and troubleshooting

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing all the activities from the enquiry to delivery of the Telecommunication systems  for FPSO Topsides as part of the Telecom team
• Responsible for the preparation of Telecom equipment philosophy, specifications, and datasheets including all the multi discipline requirements
• Responsible for the preparation of Enquiry and Purchase Requisitions with all the applicable attachments
• Responsible for the Technical Bid Evaluation of the vendor offers and recommendation for Telecom packages
• Responsible for handling the post-PO activities such as vendor drawing review, vendor performance monitoring, participating in the FAT and ensuring timely delivery 
• Responsible for the review of Telecom packages design in compliance with Class/ IMO/SOLAS/MODU regulations 
• Responsible to review Telecom Equipment Layout, Cable Ladder/Tray, MCT/Coaming, Telecom room layout and other Telecom outfitting drawings
• Interface management with other engineering disciplines and other departments such as supply chain, quality assurance, construction and commissioning
• Participating actively in the workshops such as Sound coverage, Link budget, Satellite bandwidth, etc.
• Coordinate the review of Telecom deliverables submitted by the contractors and ensure timely return with appropriate approval code
• Work with the Telecom Lead and issue the assigned deliverables as per project schedule

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunication or Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of FPSO and Oil and Gas projects
• Experience in handling Telecom system delivery for at least one project 
• Experience in FEED and Execution phases of the project
• Experience in Yard support, FPSO start-up and Operations support will be an added advantage

Skills:

• Familiarity with the relevant international standards and class rules
• Familiarity with smart tools will be an added advantage

• Strong communication skills and the ability to actively participate in the workshops
• Ability to handle contractors effectively and deliver high quality work on time
