Job Summary
Lead audit engagements by managing client portfolios, developing risk-based audit strategies, supervising teams, and ensuring compliance with Singapore Standards on Auditing and financial reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients and lead audit engagements from planning through completion to deliver high-quality audit outcomes
- Develop and implement audit strategies using a risk-based approach to ensure compliance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Review audit work performed by team members, providing guidance to maintain quality and meet deadlines
- Lead and supervise audit teams by coaching and mentoring junior staff to enhance their technical and professional skills
- Liaise with clients to resolve accounting, auditing, and reporting issues effectively
- Ensure thorough documentation of audit procedures, findings, and conclusions to support audit quality and compliance
- Identify control weaknesses in client operations and recommend practical improvements to enhance internal controls
- Assist Partners in engagement planning, client meetings, and business development initiatives to support firm growth
- Ensure audit engagements comply with all relevant regulatory and reporting requirements
- Handle ad-hoc assignments as required to support audit and business objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree, ACCA or equivalent recognized by ISCA, or Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience for Senior/Team Leader roles

- Excellent analytical skills demonstrated by evaluating complex financial data to identify risks and issues
- Strong technical skills in auditing and accounting standards to ensure accurate and compliant audit delivery
- Effective problem-solving skills applied to resolve audit and client issues promptly
- Leadership and people management capabilities to lead teams and develop junior staff
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage clients and team members clearly and professionally
- Ability to work independently and manage stress under tight deadlines with commitment
- Capability to delegate tasks effectively to assistants to ensure timely completion of assignments
