Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a prototype of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) model with deep learning algorithm to detect, distinguish and identify complex sensing signals in 
  maritime space.
• Conduct literature review on deep learning algorithm for complex signals.
• Design and develop a prototype for maritime sensing
• Conduct trials and experiments to determine the success of the prototype, 
• Propose and develop trials and experiments acceptance test steps/procedures, 
• Process and analyse the data gathered from the trial and experiments.
• Prepare the final report on the trial and experiments conducted with details covering findings and analysis, as well as the recommended way ahead.
• Participate in and manage the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met.
• Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.
• Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

Job Requirements

• Have relevant competence in the areas of sensing, system modeling, simulation testing for both hardware and software, experimental prototyping and testing.
• Have a degree in engineering / applied physics, electrical, mechanical, marine, computer engineering or equivalent.

We are looking for a Research Engineer to design and develop an advanced multi-source knowledge fusion framework that leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI techniques. The role will focus on constructing, merging, and maintaining domain-specific knowledge graphs to harmonize heterogeneous data, specifically applying these technologies to support research and decision-making on critical environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge graph construction and maintenance: Build, merge, and maintain scalable, domain-specific knowledge graphs, ensuring they adapt to dynamic data evolution and continuous updates.

• Data integration and harmonization: Develop robust pipelines to ingest, clean, and integrate heterogeneous data from diverse and inconsistent sources into a unified graph structure.

• Collaborative research: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to define data requirements, align technical deliverables with project goals, and apply the knowledge graph framework to solve complex environmental challenges.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor / Master degree in computer science or related field

• Familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) regulations and standards

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Proficiency in Python and cloud computing

We are looking for a Research Fellow to support the research on Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) with Reconfigurable Intelligent Metasurfaces (RIS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design the algorithm for Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC).

• Utilizing advanced antenna techniques, e.g. Reconfigurable Intelligent Metasurfaces (RIS), or Stacked Intelligent Metasurfaces (SIM).

• Conduct simulation and perform experiment in some scenarios.

• Document research outcome to publish at top international conference / journal.

• Write report for the project progress.

• Work with other research fellow and PhD students for the system development.

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related field.

• Good publication record.

• Have prior experience in conducting experiments is a plus.

• A thorough knowledge of the ISAC, RIS is highly preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
