Responsibilities

• Complete jobs assigned for the day
• Maintain an accurate daily record of hours worked vs hours paid
• Complete all necessary Job Reports and Planned Maintenance(PM) Inspection Reports
• Complete PM services per the relevant truck procedure within the standard times
• Maintain tools and equipment to the Company's standards
• Report any breakages or loss of tools to your service management representative

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on various types of material handling equipment specifically Forklift.
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

• Stay current with industry standards, safety protocols, and technical advancements.

• SPM, Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field SKM, etc.
• Possess good electrical/mechanical aptitude or knowledge in machinery equipment is preferred.
• Experience in maintenance repair and overhaul in automotive engine will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills and committed to work.
• Open to all Malaysian diploma or vocational certificate graduates from IPTA/IPTS.
• Proven experience as a forklift / service technician or mechanic in a similar industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Have valid driving license: B2, D, GDL (Advantage)
• Good in Bahasa and got basic command in English (both verbal and written).

Role Description:

• Responsible for providing professional maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair services for industrial cranes and hoists. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently, while representing the Konecranes brand with strong technical expertise and customer service. Perform preventive maintenance not requiring compliance inspections, corrective maintenance, retrofits, crane installation or commissioning. Technicians can be further classified into "Maintenance Technician" or "Inspector" (i.e. those predominantly performing preventive maintenance) and "Service Technicians" (i.e. those predominantly performing maintenance and retrofits).

Key Tasks :

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on overhead cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out load testing, adjustments, calibrations, and commissioning of crane systems as per company standards and safety requirements.
• Complete service reports, job documentation, and recommendations for customers accurately and on time.
• Provide technical support and professional advice to customers regarding equipment condition, safety risks, and service solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with Konecranes safety policies, ISO standards, and statutory regulations.
• Support emergency call-outs and breakdown service as required.
• Collaborate with the Service team to improve service delivery, technical skills, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain company tools, service vehicle, and equipment in safe and proper working order.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards

About This Role

To Perform site technical support for Installation, testing, and commissiong of variuous product of overhead travelling cranes, including retrofit and modernization works, within the country coverage area.

Main Responsibilities

• To perform and support installation, testing, and commissioning of any customer order manage by site supervisor for various products of overhead cranes, including retrofit and modernization, and repair works.
• To perform and support site inspection
• To attend and support factory acceptance test.
• To coordinate with appointed sub-contractor related to installation and commissioning works.
• To coordinate with all internal stakeholders for the successful of delivering the customer order.
• To complete and provide proper electronic and/or printed documentation utilizing the established company tools (if applicable)
• To participate in development program to improve both hard skils and soft skills
• To complete service reports and other required and appropriate documents in a professional, accurate, neat and legible manner and submit same in a timely manner and in accordance with established guidelines
• To maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle and assets in a safe and proper working order. Operate tools, equipment and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify supervisor of any deficiencies for resolution
• To follow all established safety rules and procedures, including those established by the customer
• To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts Regulations and applicable Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
• Report all hazards, incidents and injuries in accordance with legislation and company reporting procedures; - To participate in programs and assessments to improve health and safety in the workplace
