About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Printing Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining commercial printing machines to ensure high-quality output and smooth workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, and maintain printing machines (paper bag machine/flexo—specify as needed).

• Set up machines for each print job, including ink, plates, and paper adjustments.

• Monitor production for quality and accuracy, making adjustments when necessary.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.

• Ensure all prints meet required specifications and quality standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the press area.

• Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or equipment issues.

• Complete production logs and documentation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Drive sourcing strategies for RFQ and NPI projects to ensure competitive cost, reliable lead time, and supply continuity.
• Identify and qualify capable suppliers for precision components including machining, sheet metal, PCBA, and cable assemblies.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to support successful product industrialisation.
• Ensure materials are ready to support prototype builds and new product launches on schedule.
• Manage supplier performance, negotiate commercial terms, and support cost optimisation initiatives.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments and risk evaluations to strengthen supply chain resilience.
• Track RFQ progress and maintain visibility of quotation status to support timely decision-making.
• Support First Article (FA) sourcing activities to ensure product quality and technical compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier competitiveness and supply chain efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related discipline.
• Around 5 years or more experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing build-to-print components such as precision machined parts, sheet metal, PCBA, or cable assemblies.
• Exposure to NPI projects, product transfers, or project-based procurement activities will be advantageous.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple project timelines.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work collaboratively across teams.

1. Scheduling of all incoming jobs and ensure close monitoring and timely delivery.

2. Assist the Production Manager in taking charge of all jobs whenever necessary and ensure delegation and coordination on the necessary works.

3. Understand the full requirements of all manufacturing, servicing and improvement project. Follow up on the kick start, execution, monitoring and work closely with related personnel to resolve issues until the completion of the project.

9. Manage and resolve grievances and conflicts arising. Motivate employees to boost their morale.

10. Work with Production Manager, Welding Technical Advisor, Engineering Manager, General Manager and HR department to develop, implement and conduct training to enhance the competency or upgrading of skills for production employees.

11. Assist the Production Manager to conduct annual performance appraisal for all reporting employees whenever necessary.

12. Work closely with the QHSE Manager/ MR to resolve quality issues.

13. Perform review on PCR and work closely with the sales, engineering and quality department or customer to clarify all technical specifications and job requirements.

14. Assist the Production Manager in resolving bottleneck situations and determining root cause, corrections and corrective actions for internal rejection and scrap.

15. Assist the Production Manager in initiating purchase requisition for any requirements whenever necessary.

16. Assist the Production Manager in preparing monthly reports whenever necessary.

17. Work closely with all departments to resolve any arising issues.

Requirements:

· Diploma/ Degree preferably in Manufacturing/ Mechanical/ Engineering discipline or equivalent.

· Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in the metal machining or oil and gas industries.

· Possess good knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

· Strong leadership abilities.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

· Good in written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with OEM systems such as Muratec, Daifuku, or SSI Schaefer isa plus.
• Familiarity with MCS, PLCs, and industrial control systems.
• Knowledge automation protocols (e.g., SECS/GEM).
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work at height using ladders mobile platforms and safety harness
• Ability to work independently and in a team in Standard or swing shift
