THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission - To Serve Mankind - to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.

Overview

The Programme Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the implementation of the THK bloom Enabling Skills for Life Programme (ESLP) at the Geylang Bahru campus. This role involves working closely with the multidisciplinary team (Programme Executives, and Allied Health Professionals) to deliver both functional training under the NOURISH curriculum and vocational training across our key centre-based vocational tracks — Hospitality, Horticulture, and Culinary.

The Programme Assistant will provide direct support to trainees with disabilities to help them acquire functional life skills, vocational competencies, and independence, while ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme Delivery - NOURISH Functional Curriculum

• Assist in conducting daily functional training sessions focusing on independent living, community living, communication, social-emotional skills, and work readiness.
• Support the preparation of teaching aids, lesson materials, and classroom setup for NOURISH sessions.
• Reinforce learning goals identified in trainees' Individualised Development Plans (IDPs).
• Observe and document trainees' progress and behaviour for team discussion and follow-up interventions.

1. Vocational Training Support

• Facilitate hands-on training under the Hospitality, Horticulture, and Culinary programmes based on assigned area.
• Guide trainees through structured tasks such as housekeeping routines, kitchen preparation, plant maintenance, or other assigned job functions.
• Encourage teamwork, appropriate work habits, and workplace communication skills.
• Assist Programme Executives in preparing equipment, maintaining workspace cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

1. Trainee and Caregiver Support

• Build positive rapport with trainees, modelling respectful and empowering interactions.
• Support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies.
• Communicate relevant trainee updates and observations to the multidisciplinary team.
• When required, assist the team in caregiver engagement and event facilitation.

1. Administration & Operations

• Perform routine administrative duties including attendance tracking, materials inventory, and audit preparation.
• Assist in the maintenance and organisation of training spaces (classrooms, kitchens, gardens, and hospitality rooms).
• Participate in programme improvement initiatives, team meetings, and centre-wide events.

• Minimum Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in a related discipline (Hospitality, Culinary, Horticulture, Education, or Social Services).
• Prior experience in teaching, training, or working with adults with disabilities is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of vocational or life skills training environments preferred.

Job Responsibility :

Team and People Management

• Lead and manage internal/ external stakeholders to ensure effective account management and operation efficiencies

• Highlight and share best practices within the team to ensure consistency and continuity in operational excellence approach

• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity within the team

• Work and communicate with various teams based around the region

Customer Management

• Responsible to assist in managing the daily operations (execution plan, utilization management, knowledge management and communications). Ensure team actively engage assigned customers in business + performance reviews

• Monitoring KPI, including tracking of overall improvement goals and outcomes. Execute process improvement/ initiative across countries to improve KPIs situationally

• Identify opportunities to improve the operations, proactively reinforce and iterate on our processes and create standardized business processes that result in increase of performance and provide negotiation of difficult matters to drive outcomes

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support business growth and development.

• Optimize data/data flows and operational reporting

• Strategic planning based on forecast, especially on peak period.

• Responsible for analysing, mapping and documenting the current and future requirements and processes, as part of a defined standardization framework and alignment across the region.

• Assist in the preparation of the QBR decks.

• Working closely with implementation team for Project management and execution to ensure smooth on boarding process

• Well verse with overall APAC market updates and call out to customer with mitigation plan

• Ad hoc duties as required

Job Requirements

• Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, maintaining organization, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

As a Assistant Software Manager (C, C++, C#, Java) , you will be part of a team to provide technical lead in system and network design. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to implemente application system requirement, documentation and Software Developement.

Job Scope:

• Strong in software application development using C, C++, C#, or Java.
• Strong Software Development Life Cycles.
• Knowledge of Communication Stack Layer and various communication protocols like SNMP, TCP/IP, UDP.
• Well versed in handling Vendor and Business Users.
• Solid involvement in Software Development Life Cycle.
• Technically good in C,C++, C# or Java programming.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
