Requirements

• Educational background in a technology discipline (CS, IT, or equivalent engineering field)coupled with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on application support or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proven track record in high-tier (L2/L3) technical support, with the capability to investigate, debug, and patch issues directly within the codebase.
• Strong familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, incident response workflows, SLA metrics, and change management protocols.
• Competency with modern observability suites, APM systems, and cloud-native monitoring infrastructure.
• Practical grasp of cloud systems, continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD), Agile methodologies, and enterprise security or access control principles.
• Prior experience with automation tooling (e.g., Configuration as Code, IaC), public cloud ecosystems, enterprise content management (CMS), or headless commerce architectures is highly desirable.

Infrastructure Backup and Recovery Management

• Demonstrate expert-level product knowledge for IBM Storage Protect (known as TSM) and competitive solutions.

• Perform billable services engagements, including installation/implementation of IBM Storage Protect.

• Support 24/7 shift operations independently.

To Execute SOP for BAU Tasks (Skill Requirements with 2–4 Years of Experience)

1. In-depth knowledge of:

   • IBM Storage Protect Server on Windows & UNIX

   • IBM Spectrum Protect Server and Client operations

   • IBM Storage Protect for Databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL, etc.)

   • IBM Storage Protect for Mail (Domino and Exchange)

   • IBM Storage Protect for VMware

   • DRM implementation and management using IBM Storage Protect

2. Knowledge of Tape Libraries and LTO Tape Drives.

3. Audit application backup policies and environments.

4. Should have desired Operating System skills.

5. Responsibilities include providing remote and onsite support.

6. Analyze and resolve escalated problems within target timelines.

7. Problem determination and analysis skills.

8. IBM Storage Protect product skills on:

   • Windows

   • AIX

   • Linux (basic UNIX)

   • DB2

   • Networking

9. Cohesity, NetBackup, and Vinchin backup software support for virtual infrastructure backup and recovery.

10. Troubleshoot VM backup failures using both NetBackup and Vinchin backup software.
