Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing/process engineers and technicians.
· Establish engineering priorities aligned with production schedules, quality goals, and business KPIs.
· Collaborate with plant leadership to develop long-term manufacturing strategies (capacity, automation, footprint).
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
· Analyze production data to identify root causes of downtime, defects, or bottlenecks.
· Implement standardized work, error-proofing (poka-yoke), and rapid changeover techniques.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Work with Production to resolve daily technical issues and improve throughput.
· Partner with Quality to address root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
· Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer communication skills.
Documentation & Standards
· Maintain accurate master document, plant layouts, work instructions, and equipment records.
· Establish engineering standards for material selection, tolerances, and vendor qualifications.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
· At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
· Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
· Knowledge of ERP/MES systems for routing and BOM management.
Soft Skills
· Proven ability to lead technical root-cause analysis (8D, DMAIC).
· Strong communication – able to translate complex technical issues for shop floor and executive audiences.
· Decisive under pressure, with a bias for action in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
