• Manage and oversee daily construction operations to ensure project progress aligns with plans
• Plan, develop, and organize construction efforts to deliver cost-effective, timely project completion within budget
• Define clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables for team members aligned with project scope and schedule
• Review and forecast man-hours and project duration to completion for effective resource planning
• Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance; investigate underperformance and implement improvement measures
• Promote and enforce company safety standards and foster a safety culture across teams
• Ensure site activities comply with project specifications, budget, and timelines

Required competencies and certifications

Responsibilities

• Manage cost control, risk, and value management to optimize project budgets and outcomes
• Verify contractors' claims for variations and payments to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support variation orders (VO), progress claims, contract administration, and project documentation
• Attend meetings with clients to discuss project progress and resolve issues
• Prepare interim valuations, price contract variations, process claims, and monitor project cash flows
• Conduct site measurements, evaluate subcontractors' progress, and certify payments accordingly
• Review tender documents, evaluate tenders, and recommend contract awards for construction projects
• Prepare project costings and contracts while ensuring compliance with tendering and procurement procedures
• Assess contractors' claims for variation works, loss, expense, and final accounts to validate entitlements

• Handle enquiries for quotations by gathering information, comparing prices, and preparing accurate quotations to send to customers
• Research and evaluate potential suppliers to identify and develop new vendor relationships that meet project needs
• Source and procure materials or equipment aligned with specific project requirements to ensure quality and availability
• Arrange logistics for workers and company assets to support operational efficiency and project timelines
• Ensure all purchasing contracts comply with contract specifications, obligations, warranties, and company requirements, including submission of warranty documents as required
• Negotiate and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional departments to secure the best prices, delivery schedules, and quality standards for project purchases

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in a relevant discipline
• 1-2 years of work experience in Purchasing and Administration

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working in a construction firm
