Engineer, Cyber – Product Security

NielsenIQ is maturing its Application Security programs and is recruiting an Application Security Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the rollout of DevSecOps capabilities and practises across all geographies and business units.  

As the Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for integration, maintenance and analyses of the tools and technologies used in securing NIQ products/application throughout their development. You will oversee application security capabilities within a multi-national matrixed environment. The application security engineer will have the opportunity to replace the current Static and Dynamic Application Security Tool and advocate for the tech stack used for monitoring. 

This position will involve working closely with development/engineering teams, business units, technical and non-technical stakeholders, educating them and driving the adoption and maturity of the NIQ’s Product & Application Security programs. 

Responsibilities  

• Collaborate within Product Security Engineering and Cybersecurity teams to support delivery of its strategic initiatives. 
• Work with engineering teams (Developers, SREs & QAs) to ensure that products are secure on delivery and implement provided security capabilities. 
• Actively contribute to building and maintaining Product Security team security tools and services, including integrations security tools in the CI/CD process 
• Report on security key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements across engineering teams’ security posture. 
• Contribute to Product Security Engineering team security education program and become an advocate within the organization’s DevSecOps and application security community of practice. 
• Review IaaS / PaaS architecture roadmaps for the cloud to and recommend baseline security controls and hardening requirements, supporting threat modelling of NIQ’s products.

Leveraging your extensive knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and best practices, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Your expertise will not only enhance our clients' Salesforce ecosystems but also contribute to our organization's success by continuously improving processes and driving innovation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development: Build and maintain custom Salesforce applications, integrations, and extensions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other relevant technologies.

• Data Management: Ensure data integrity, security, and reliability by designing and implementing effective data migration, transformation, and integration strategies.

• Adherence to Salesforce best practices: Ensure that the code is written as per the Salesforce recommended best practices.
• Code Review: Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to ensure high-quality and optimized code across projects.
• Testing and Deployment: Plan and execute comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Oversee smooth and controlled deployments to production environments.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of Salesforce applications.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and ensure compliance with Salesforce security standards and industry regulations.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• 5 to 7 years of total experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong focus on developing Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
• Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer I and II are highly desirable.
• Must have good understanding of Out of the box features such as Flows, Sharing rules, OWD, Data Loader and Lightning App builder
• Familiarity with Healthcare domain
• In-depth understanding of Salesforce configuration, data modeling, and security best practices.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations using APIs, middleware, and web services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices.
• Willingness to work from 2 PM to 11 PM IST.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related field.

Key activities:

• Responsible for on time delivery of manufacturing drawings / General arrangement dwg/ BOMs for filter solutions, elements, tools as well as the necessary product documentation
• Establish post order engineering function for Indufil products, ensure capable processes and develop the necessary engineering talent, skills, and processes to support business at GEC Pune
• Accountable for Engineering Solutions organization KPI ‘s and focus on OTD & Quality metrices agreed
• Establish standard engineering processes with clear alignment and accountability to customers’ expectation
• Engineering Order review and acceptance, co-ordination with CST team to drive order processing effectively
• Training and mentoring filtration engineering team subordinates
• Ensure on time delivery of manufacturing drawings / General arrangement dwg/ BOMs for filter solutions, elements, tools as well as the necessary product documentation
• Responsible for quality of the engineering deliverables and resolution of any quality issue raised
• Quality checks for engineering deliverables from junior team members
• Performing engineering calculation and Engineering documentation creation for customer
• Use of standard product sizing and selection tools, as well as follow or enhancement of standard working procedures
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, VAVE, and other strategic initiatives
• Work closely and collaboratively with other engineering teams in Netherland, and Czech engineering teams
• Completes other assignments as directed
