ROLE OVERVIEW

Interior architecture and FF&E run through the heart of WeCraft’s work. We are seeking an Intermediate Interior & FF&E Designer to take independent ownership of that scope, freeing senior capacity while raising the quality and pace of delivery. You will work closely with, and to the creative direction of, the Interior & FF&E Director, interpreting and extending WeCraft’s design language across your packages while exercising sound independent judgement.

You will develop interior-architectural design from concept through construction-ready documentation, design and specify furniture, fixtures and equipment, source materials and finishes to brief and budget, and work closely with the Maison WeCraft procurement team to bring schemes to life. WeCraft is rebuilding its design bench, and this is the anchor architectural hire. We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer who can both lead design and technical authorship and act as Project Architect on site — taking architectural delivery off the founders across the studio’s live and upcoming projects. You will work closely with, and to the architectural direction of, the Principal Architect, interpreting and extending WeCraft’s design language and design standards while exercising sound independent judgement.

You will lead architectural documentation from concept through construction, set and uphold the studio’s drawing and BIM standards, coordinate consultants, and — critically — go to site to check built work against the drawings, resolve construction queries and protect design integrity through implementation. You will be the senior point of architectural quality in Singapore and a mentor to our growing offshore technical-design bench.

Qualifications & Field of Study:

Bachelors in preferably biomedical engineering, or materials science and engineering; chemical or electronics engineering or related fields are also relevant.

1. Good understanding of sensing materials, conductive/semiconductive materials, electronic devices, electrochemical sensors, and their related device engineering/development and characterisation tools
2. Good with detailed hands-on work in wet lab, meticulous and attention to detail; good with characterisation measurements
3. Have sufficient computational knowledge and abilities to complement research, including basic programming language, basic AI skills, awareness of automation etc.
4. Basic awareness and knowledge of biosensors, wearables technology, healthcare/medtech landscape.

1. Strongly driven for intellectual output and knowledge creation
2. Resourcefulness in problem solving
3. Diligent and team player, work in multi-disciplinary environments.
