Key Responsibilities:

As a FX Derivatives Trader you will be responsible for:

• Managing portfolio risk-management for Asia and CEEMEA Emerging Markets FX Derivatives global portfolios in the Asia time-zone
• Oversee execution of client transactions and hedges across wide range of foreign-exchange markets
• Quoting the bank’s franchise in the region across a wide range of currencies and derivative products
• Meeting with institutional and corporate clients alongside Sales to maintain and develop the bank’s franchise in the Asia Pacific region
• Work closely with Sales and Structuring to identify and nurture new opportunities and relationships with institutional and corporate clients
• Embark on project and development initiatives to continually improve efficiency in our pricing, risk management and trade execution processes

Candidate requirements:

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 2-5 years of prior work experience in Asia and CEEMEA Emerging Markets FX Derivatives trading
• Quantitative trading techniques for FX Derivative portfolios in both developed and emerging markets
• Experience in an array of currencies including Emerging Markets, G10 and derivative products ranging from vanilla to exotic FX options
• Experience in quoting and understanding German corporate clients FX derivatives needs
• Specialty in Emerging Markets currencies & experience in managing complex structured products such as barrier derivatives, volatility swaps
• Commercial focus, ability to take initiatives, and skills to solve complex business problems
• Ability to articulate ideas confidently and concisely
• Ability to communicate in verbal and written English and German language as the role requires the individual to liaise with German speaking clients.

Owing to an international relocation and departure in the Asia team, they are looking to hire an Equity Research Analyst, Public Markets.

Job Description

This role analyses, monitors, and reports on the current positions in global markets. In addition, this role will help with the selection of new opportunities. In coordination with the Head of Markets - Asia and Head of Asia (CIO), the successful candidate will run and monitor investment portfolios.

Responsibilities:

• Lead systematic research and analysis of public markets and industry trends, primarily in Asia ex-Japan
• Conduct due diligence on portfolio companies or candidates, and support idea generation through constant interactions with companies and their stakeholders
• Update on business trends, competition and new regulatory policy impacting the covered geography / sector
• Contribute to discussions of sectors and companies covered by other team members, and promote an open and honest culture of challenging and being challenged
• Prepare presentations and memos to the investment committee in relation to potential and existing investments, and macro / capital markets themes
• Assist in preparing reports, ad hoc / strategic reviews other such related tasks
• Assist in portfolio management duties including monitoring, reporting, and evaluating performance of executed transactions
• Network with advisors in the region and sell-side analysts
• Become a subject matter specialist in China macro over time

The Successful Applicant

A successful IO (China) should have:

• Excellent academic qualifications with at least eight years in equity research and at least five of those in a top buy-side firm
• CFA would be preferred though not a must
• Experience in covering Hong Kong and China equities, including A shares is a must
• Proficiency in business mandarin is an absolute must, as the role requires attending corporate meetings with Hong Kong and China listed entities, regular interactions with stakeholders including sell side and independent research providers and reviewing annual reports and other relevant documents.
• Expertise in equity research across internet, consumer or financials would be ideal though not a must
• Ability to build, update, and maintain complex financial models representing the current and future financial state of the companies being analysed
• Detail oriented, possess strong analytical and quantitative skillset
• Proficient with advanced computer software such as spreadsheets and database programs
• Besides being a good team-player, candidates should also demonstrate maturity, integrity and possess the ability to interact and network with investors
• Openness to frequent travel across Europe & Asia

Job Summary

The Outreach team will partner with Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) frontline in meeting Anti Money Laundering (AML) Client Due Diligence (CDD) Refresh, i.e. periodic review requirements. The team will be required to develop client connections per direction from the frontline, reach out and engage clients for required refresh AML CDD documentation and act as a coordination point for resolving issues/challenges with respect to client-specific refresh documentation requirements. The candidate in this role will be responsible for the execution of their business objectives and ensure adherence to metrics.

The Client Outreach Specialist (“COS”) team will serve as a support member for the client relationship team, partnering in meeting Anti Money Laundering (AML) Client Due Diligence (CDD) Refresh requirements. COS will be required to partner with the Treasury product sales and other GCIB or markets relationship teams, develop continuity with the client refresh population, reach out and engage clients for key AML/CDD documentation, and act as an escalation point for service or operational challenges that may arise in the refresh. Act as a primary point of coordination between Banking/Markets and AML Refresh teams supporting the refresh process to ensure timely and accurate compliance to policy and regulatory requirements related to AML, other high-risk indicators or industries, and related KYC activities. Be the buffer and client advocate in simplifying how we leverage client continuity to deliver the most seamless, holistic service relationship across the firm. Reviewing the accuracy of documentation, screening, and obtaining approvals from Compliance and Business are some of the high-level activities involved in the process.

 

Responsibilities

• Support GCIB to complete annual refresh for its English Speaking clients

• Executes with client perspective while balancing risk to the firm

• Supports building out of a culture of teamwork and collaboration focused on goals delivery

• Master CDD requirements applicable to the banking clients and is able to guide clients in complying with them

• Understand and adopt process recommendations and procedural updates derived from changes to policy, technology adoption, process enhancements, and remediation of control weaknesses/gaps

• Coordinate with partners in other regions and LOBs to ensure partnership in global KYC initiatives

• Review the industry group client's GCI hierarchy looking for inactive accounts to be closed, linkage errors within client structures, merge/purge of client entities

• Assist in tracking both the Annual refresh population and all other KYC-related populations in partnership with the coverage team

Eligibility Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in financial services preferably with banks

• Previous experience in client-facing roles and must demonstrate a strong client focus

• Knowledge of AML CDD policy and standards, industry practices in AML CDD

• Understanding and knowledge of the bank’s operational aspects of the products and services used by clients

• Proven stakeholder relationship/influence management skills to achieve swift adoption through close partnership

• The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems

• Understands and respects cultural differences

• Bachelor’s degree desired

• AML CDD knowledge for legal entities in global jurisdictions
